  • "What a lovely old cottage and a delightful back garden in which we could relax in the sun watching nearly 40 sparrows, while out front on Main Street there was a small shop for papers and provisions over the road nearby, with easy access to the delightfully large beach and the old harbour, while the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel was at the end of the street for occasional bar meals (best to book), while the largest colony of seals in Scotland was only ten miles away, at Newburgh an easy drive away."

Thank you so very much for the lovely feedback. Also thank you for the note you left us, all sorted now. The birds were fed regularly by the previous owners so I am not surprised you saw a lot of birds. Our cottage is a much loved family home with lots of amazing memories. It’s so lovely to hear that it’s still giving joy. Property Owner

  • "This is a really, lovely, comfortable property."

We had a great ten day break there, it was clean, there were lots of lovely little touches, like the welcome basket with treats for the canine and human visitors. There are plenty of place to walk to straight out from the front door, which is only 2mins from the beach. We would heartily recommend it and will definitely visit again.

So cosy and homely. The welcome basket was fabulous - the best we have ever received. The location was perfect with the great view down the estuary and a short stroll to the bridge with access to the most stunning beach. We will definitely be booking the cottage again. 23 Main Street is located in a quiet street looking out across the Water of Cruden to the dunes and the sea beyond. The shop is just across the road and the pub 200m down the street. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Cruden Bay is conveniently located for visits to Aberdeen, Peterhead and beyond with quiet roads and lots of wildlife and history to explore. We loved our time there and it passed all too quickly. We will return some day.

So glad you had a wonderful break. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. Property Owner
