  • "The house is really lovely, comfortable and cosy."

The Conservatory is a huge bonus because we had bad weather and we could watch the rain. The only problem for me was the feather duvets, anyone with allergies has problems with them, other than that a very enjoyable stay.

We'll equipped cottage with lots of comfy sofas and chairs. The beds all have firm mattresses which we found difficult to sleep. Providing mattress toppers might help for those of us who prefer a softer mattress. Larger bath towels to would be nice.

  • "A splendid cottage and great location!"

Cannot fault the views from the conservatory out over the bay! We even enjoyed watching the helicopters heading out offshore! There is a splendid walk up to the north of the village along the coast, and plenty of spots for our dog, Harris, to enjoy some serious sniffing fun! As others have mentioned though, be very, very careful about whether you consider allowing your dog to roam off-lead, given the precipitous nature of some of the cliffs. The only minor drawback was that we found a few ceiling spotlight bulbs to be out of action; not so much of a problem in the lounge, as there are other lights, but it did make for a slightly "dull" showering experience in the first floor bathroom. There was also a damaged drainage grating at the entrance to the driveway, which should either be removed or replaced, so that it does not spring up underneath a car and cause any damage.

The property is of a very high standard and the photos reflect the quality of the house. The kitchen had everything you need and more. The views from the conservatory over the bay are spectacular and the beach really is just a two minute walk from the property. I loved the property. Loved Cruden Bay and the surrounding area I will definitely be back. The only thing that would make the property more perfect is an enclosed garden for our fur babies. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Loved sitting in large conservatory watching the changing sea views across the bay. Fantastic facilities with downstairs bedroom and bathroom for nanny. Lovely food at Kilmarnock Arms hotel and village shop only short walk away. Beautiful area to explore. Love to return. Our only wish would be that the garden had gates and fencing at top to stop our dog escaping then it would be perfect.

  • "This holiday cottage is fabulous and really needs a 5 star plus rating."

The owners really have done a fantastic job, when you walk through the door everything is immaculate. The location in Cruden Bay is perfect. Great views of the bay and a quick 5 minute walk to the beach. We have 2 dogs and that easy access was great. The beach is lovely and on early morning walks you have it all to yourself. The garden isn’t fully enclosed so please be aware of that if you have dogs. We don’t leave ours in the garden without supervision, so this wasn’t an issue for us. The cottage surpassed our expectations and we wished we had booked a longer stay. We had a great holiday and we will definitely be back.

The huge conservatory with views of the beach is a lovely, warm place to relax. The well equipped kitchen/dining room is a very social place for all the family. With plenty of room in the lounge and bedrooms and a two minute walk to the beach this really is a first class property. There is plenty to see near by. We visited Peterhead Prison Museum, Slains Castle, Bullers of Buchan and the seals at Newburgh. Our guides, Brian, at Fraserburgh Lighthouse and Ali at Deep Scan Loch Ness cruise made the trips really interesting. Lossie Chip Shop is worth a visit for a quick takeaway meal.

  • "Superb property."

Plenty of space for the 4 generations of the family with the Conservatory being everybody's favourite room. The view from the property was astounding, with a very short walk to the nearest beach. The proximity of the golf links was also appreciated. The ruins of Slains Castle was a highlight, as were the seal beaches at Forvie Nature Reserve and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation's HQ at Speymouth (which is close enough for an outing), while Frazerburgh's Lighhouse Museum, and Peterhead's Prison Museum provided entertainment on damp days. Excellent property, excellent, one of the best and most relaxing of family holidays that we have had in years.

House was clean and owners went the extra mile to prepare it for our arrival for Christmas break. They decorated the house in a theme and even put the Christmas tree!!! That was the best welcome we had out of over 15 cottages that we visited so far. Great. House is very comfortable, located in a very lovely village and 10 minutes form a beautiful beach. Perfect spot for walks and water sports. House looked like it was just freshly redecorated and looked mostly new buy very stylish. The conservatory was a gem and we spent most of our time in it. Massive, very well build, clean, and most importantly, very warm in the winter. Local pub/restaurant serving fantastic food so we also recommend to pay them a visit. All about this place was perfect and we hope to come back again soon. Big thanks to Patrick who was very responsive and helpful. Marek with family and friends.

Even though the guests before us had left the house in a dirty condition, the owner managed to get it cleaned up in time before our arrival. Thank you for this! What could be better managed in the future: There is a lot of privately owned stuff in the house, which should be more clearly separated from the things the holiday guests are meant to use. (But this is only my personal feeling, of course.) Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much, especially because the weather was wonderful sunny and warm. In fact, it was too hot to stay in the conservatory. Instead, we had wonderful walks with our dog on the nearby beach. Andrea + Bernd + Aiko (the dog) and Marie + Georg

A BBQ would be a useful addition but we used a disposable one for some lovely steaks from a local butcher. We thought that we would use the cottage as a base to explore the surrounding area, but in truth we spent more time in Cruden Bay than we had planned.
