The property

A lovely, spacious cottage nestled on a quiet road in pretty Dufftown, Moray.

With access to good local facilities just a couple of minutes away, and vistas from the upper windows over the rooftops towards beautiful open countryside, this mid-terrace cottage offers the perfect getaway for you and your loved ones.

Resting with an elevated position, over three floors, the cottage comprises two lovely bedrooms sleeping three people.

Step into the comfort of the sitting room which showcases a modern minster-style fireplace housing an electric fire.

With generous room for a dining table you can all sit around at the end of a long day and enjoy a home cooked meal.

The sitting room also features a pull-out double sofa bed.

Also on the ground floor is the high-end fitted, galley-style kitchen with ample storage and preparation areas, with integrated modern appliances.

Down on the lower ground floor is extra storage space for bikes and other sporting equipment such as fishing or walking gear.

The utility room offers separate washing and drying facilities.

With easy access from the rear of the building you can dry off your pets here as well.

This area of the house also provides a small office space.

Private access at the rear of the property leads you into a courtyard where you can sit out and enjoy some peace and quiet with the newspaper on a sunny morning in this property's own sun trap.

The sheltered rear courtyard provides a great location to socialise around the good sized BBQ.

The well-kept burgh of Dufftown is known to some locals as the whisky capital of the Highlands, housing nine whisky distilleries.

For those of you intrigued, head for a taste of the Scottish goodness on the Malt Whisky Trail.

As well as this, Dufftown also boasts an 18-hole golf course, complete with breath-taking scenery and world famous salmon fishing of the Strathspey area.

Regularly in the summer months there is a Ceilidh just a few minutes walk from the house, as well as several eateries, you can all enjoy a drink with your meal.

Winter provides excellent skiing and snowboarding in the area.

Here, at Rooftops, you have many opportunities to explore this Scottish region and a pleasant base from which to do so.

About the location

DUFFTOWN

Elgin 20 miles; Aviemore 46 miles; Aberdeen 50 miles: Inverness 56 miles.

Dufftown is situated in the heart of Speyside in north east Scotland and is a thriving and lively small town. It is also right on the Malt Whisky Trail and the old saying goes, “Rome was built on seven hills, Dufftown stands on seven stills”. There are now nine distilleries in the area so a spot of whisky tasting is a must, unless you are the driver of course! Apart from the distilleries it is easy to access the world famous salmon fishing of the Strathspey area and permits can be obtained locally. Dufftown has an 18-hole golf course complete with breathtaking scenery and guests are made very welcome. In the winter months staying in the area provides great value for skiers and snowboarders as it is only a 50 minute drive to the Lecht ski slopes and Aviemore is an hour or so away, plus The Cabrach is a ‘Dark Sky Designated Area’ which is ideal for astronomers.

This property offers the following short breaks:

  • Winter
  • Off-season
  • Last minute
  • Christmas
