The property

Forres 8.6 miles.

Resting within the majestic lands of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Forres, is The Beeches.

Ideally placed for an adventurous getaway, this detached dwelling is ideal for a large family gathering to this remote part of Scotland.

Kick off your muddy boots and coats within an ideally positioned porch, before stepping into a welcoming, open-plan living room.

Be charmed by the high-ceilings, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows which allow you to gaze out across the countryside.

Satisfying your culinary needs is a well-appointed kitchen, where you can rustle up some tasty treats before catching up with your loved ones within the dining area to plan the days ahead.

During a winter’s evening, select a DVD from the small collection before snuggling up in front of a warming gas fire in the sitting room.

Completing the ground floor is a king-size double bedroom with its very own en-suite, ideal for those with limited mobility.

Climb up the stairs to find a further three bedrooms, comprising of a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom, a king-size double and a twin bedroom.

Continuing to impress is a spacious garden area, with an enclosed lawn space perfect for letting the dog stretch their legs while you unwind with a glass of wine on the patio area.

For local amenities, head into the town of Forres where you will find a wealth of pubs and shops to pick up any essentials.

Logie Steading visitor centre is just a mile away with a lovely cafe and for the fit and adventourous you are able to walk along the edge of the magnificent River Findhorn to the centre.

If you are visiting with younger guests they will be thrilled with the Ace Adventure Centre situated close by, offering a number of outdoor activities to keep them busy.

For a taste of history, guests can explore the Cawdor Castle and wonder around its wonderful grounds.

The pretty town of Forres is one of Scotland's oldest small towns and boasts an array of historical monuments, museums and castles, as well as impressive parks and award winning gardens. Forres is an ideal starting point for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail being home to two of the Distilleries, and in close proximity to another five! Forres boasts two golf courses and some excellent fishing opportunities. Ideally placed for visiting the atmospheric fishing villages that are dotted along the north east coastline and just twenty seven miles from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, it is a great base for a holiday. You can immerse yourself in history with Cawdor and Brodie Castles, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George all within easy reach. Alternatively you can spend time at Findhorn enjoying the beach and looking for seals or a days watersports finishing with a drink overlooking the bay whilst the sun goes down. A five minute drive from Forres will take you to Califer Hill Viewpoint, providing stunning views across the Moray Firth, Findhorn and beyond.
