  • "The Roofspace is beautifully appointed and very comfortable."

We felt very welcomed and had a wonderful week birding around the area.

  • "This holiday accommodation is very attractive, beautifully designed and in a lovely situation."

It is very comfortable, immaculately clean and the owners are very helpful. I would strongly recommend anyone wishing to stay there to try and book it through another agent. Unfortunately, the negative feedback above is entirely due to Sykes. As advised previously I will never use Sykes again, due to mis-information and obstructiveness at the start of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Sally was incredibly helpful, welcoming and cheerful and we would definitely come back in the future. P.S. the raspberry muffins were incredible!

  • "50th Birthday getaway."

The Roofspace is a truly wonderful place to stay, Sally and Fergus are the perfect hosts, lovely friendly people and nothing is too much trouble. The muffins really are as nice as everyone else says! The Roofspace was immaculate and has everything you need, such a peaceful location the grounds are beautiful and we loved watching the dear graze outside the bedroom. We had an amazing spectacle of a murmuration of Jackdaws on several evenings right above the accommodation. It is a perfect base for exploring and there are so many walks within a short drive. The surrounding countryside is stunning, also amazing beaches a coves close by. Dunnottar Castle is well worth a visit and we were lucky enough to watch a large pod of dolphins pass by whilst we were there. After a long day out for my birthday Sally and Fergus surprised us on our return with some lovely treats which was a really nice touch and was a perfect end to a great day. Can highly recommend the Roofspace we will definitely return here next year.

Sally and Fergus were great we loved the chocolate and raspberry muffins that Sally had left for us upon arrival. The accommodation was cleaned to a high standard and was well equipped for our stay, bonus was seeing the deer in the garden nearly every day. Location was fantastic, not far from coast and the cairngorms national park so best of both worlds, the scenery is just spectacular, Sally and Fergus also had very good knowledge of the area and reccomended walks etc. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely reccomend for a nice couples retreat, lovely and quiet and close to nature. The roofspace was great..Spotless cosy and in a great location. Sally and Fergus were so kind nothing was a problem. Although you are close to their house you would never know they were there. The Roofspace is alot bigger than the pictures make out. Heating is great had to open the windows most nights! If we were returning to this area I would certainly return to this holiday property.

It's situation , a few hundred yards from the main road and in a very rural area, meant that it was very peaceful and secure. For me it was ideally located for access to the Angus Glens and mountains where I was able to complete some good walks. All facilities as described and of a high standard.
