Received a warm welcome on arrival and a comprehensive "welcome" pack had been left for us which was gratefully received. The cottage is located only 5 minute walk from the town but is secluded and quiet with a well kept outside space and garden to sit out in. Our second stay here and should we return to the area wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The owner had taken every precaution in respect of the Covid situation including thoughtfully adding Netflix in absence of usual dvds etc.

The open plan downstairs was ideal for our toddlers, giving them space to play & always in our eyeline. The whole house was perfectly clean. The kitchen was really well equipped, as was the utility room, & had everything we could have wanted. The cottage is just a stones throw from the forest & a quick walk to the main street. We would definitely stay again when we are back in the area.

There is plenty of space and the rooms are a good size, with the added benefit of a garden if the weather is nice. It is tucked down a lane and is lovely and quiet, yet a short walk to the shops etc. The house is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. If cooking and dining in, the kitchen is well equipped. This is a great base for exploring the area. The Aviemore area is a short drive away and you can easily easily travel to the coast east of Inverness, the Speyside area, or further afield. Grantown has a good array of shops, if not their are supermarkets in Aviemore.

Shops, woodland walks, eateries and evening entertainment were in close proximity. The Cottage caters extremely well for a family and we were particularly impressed with items such as board games, books, family DVD's and games console for those inevitable rainy days. There was a large enclosed garden which the kids loved, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and it was ideal for a dog owner. The Cottage is discreetly tucked away behind other properties which enhances that feeling of privacy. In terms of geography the Cottage is only 30 mins from most tourist attractions which suited the kids. Overall, loved this holiday and would not hesitate to return, excellent!
