    We found it spotlessly clean and tidy with all the facilities as advertised. A lovely welcome pack gave us all we needed until we could shop. Had a great time in Grantown-On-Spey which has a variety of pubs, hotels and local shops. Will definitely recommend the cottage to others.

    Ideal base for touring the highlands. Had a fantastic meal at the Sundancer in Nairn. Parking was fine in the evening but could be a bit of problem in the daytime. Was very surprised to be asked to strip beds we have never had this in 40 years of this type of holiday.

  • "We had a lovely week at Dalnahaven, the bungalow is everything you would want from a holiday rental."

    The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Our dog loved the enclosed garden which was lovely to sit out after a day'.s outing and enjoy an early evening drink, weather permitting of course. Having the forest walks just down the road was an added bonus. Friendly hosts Jacki and Campbell were available if required, the welcome pack left for us was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Great base for touring the area. Having parking and shops on the doorstep made this an ideal location. Would highly recommend Dalnahaven.

    The cottage was comfortable & had everything we needed . Location was excellent, shop , pubs & takeaways all within a very small walk . Don't let the comments about parking put you off , wasn't a big issue , I think the most we had to walk from the car was about 20 yards! Would recommend.

  • "The cottage was well equiped and very clean, it would have been helpful if there was a note on how to use the central heating as it was sometimes chilly in the evening."

    We had a very relaxing holiday, the only other thing was the parking as there was a vets surgery across the road, and we stated before we left the TV which we did not use kept coming on at 10pm evvery night, but this did nothing to spoil our break. We would keep in mind this cottage for another break.

    Slept like logs, which is unheard of. Very quiet location, even with being opposite a vets. Onstreet parking was the only issue for us, we found it very difficult to park anywhere near until after 7.30pm when the vets went home. Ideal location for exploring this area.

    It is well situated for shops cafes etc. Anagach Woods a couple of minutes from the cottage with its lovely trails great for our dog, walkers and cyclists. Stayed over New Year and the cottage was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Grantown very quiet this New Year due to Covid so we spent more time that usual in this comfortable cottage which is testimony to how at home we felt. Lovely welcome pack for us and our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

    Shops and restaurants a 2 minutes walk, as is the high street. A quiet location even though close to the town centre. 3 minute walk to local woods with plenty of tracks for 2 and 4 legged friends. Welcoming pack on arrival was a nice touch making a pleasant start to holiday. Really enjoyed our time here and will book again. I've no qualms about recommending this cottage.

    Plenty of walks both short and long within walking distance of the house. The house itself is one level, very roomy with everything you would expect from a holiday home. Large lounge with good size TV and reclining sofas for extra comfort, large bathroom with power shower and good size bath. Kitchen area more than adequate, we were especially impressed that the owners have gone the extra mile in respect of Covid protection protocols, clean and disinfected right through and even all the dishes, knives and forks, cups were placed in the dishwasher prior to arrival and deep cleaned. We have visited this house before and will not hesitate in visiting again in the future

    The kitchen window looks directly on to it so you can seen the cars, private ambulance, etc. While this did not bother us, other than to serve as a daily reminder of our own mortality!, we feel strongly that this needs to be made clear as there are times in all of our lives when this would be a very upsetting location.

    The bathroom was very nice and modern the lounge was ok WIFI ok as was the tv the large bed could do with a new mattress there was a lack of t towels two for a week and bath towels I mean one bath sheet and one towel is not enough per person for a week, and the net curtains up at the windows makes the place look a bit dreary and maybe the garden could do with a few more pots with plants to cheer the outside up, But on the upside we had plenty of hot water and a dishwasher for when we had a meal in also loads of places to eat out in town

    The outdoor seats and tables and the shed we used to store our bikes were very much appreciated. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and having all the basics available like hand soap, cleaning products and the like was great. The Wi-Fi was excellent - much to our teenager's delight! The tiniest alteration that would make a big difference would be to have some more crockery - it was fab to have a dishwasher, but more plates and bowls would have meant not having to run it so often.

    Each room was spacious with an open plan living room and dining area, kitchen was excellent as was the bathroom and main bedroom. This accommodation is in a perfect position for access to everything, pub, eateries, walks all just a short walk from the garden gate. We arrived to a lovely welcome pack which included some treats for our dog who enjoyed daily long walks in the forest which is located just down the same road the property is on. Excellent week and we intend to stay here again

The cottage is well situated, just a few steps into the town centre yet it was always very quiet. The town is quaint, not too touristy, has good amenities and plenty of places to eat out. We were only ever a short drive from some incredible walks, beaches and distilleries. We would love to stay here again in the future and would highly recommend it.

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Grantown-on-Spey has much to offer. There is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in the town to tempt visitors, or use it as a base for exploring the varied pursuits of the area.
