“Whilst the house was generally good most holiday cottages we have rented have had a few essentials waiting on arrival, pint of milk, tea/coffe, biscuits, occasionally a homemade cake and a bottle of wine.”

Makes a great start to the holiday. Nothing like that here. Whilst well equipped there was nothing in the ay of essentials, no dishwasher tabs, no washing up liquid, no dish cloths or cleaning cloths/sponges so all those needed to be bought on arrival. Only 1 loo roll in each toilet. On the plus side there was plenty of wood though the hot tubs took almost 2 bags to get it warm enough . KIds loved the games room in the garage, plenty of DVDs etc. TV in living room was in an odd place and couldn't be moved and the sofa only just accomodated 4 people and was a bit saggy. Bed in master bedroom was rock hard and quite uncomfortable, not a great sleep. KIds had no issues and said their beds were OK. Dishwasher in utility was a bit of a pain. Hinge on kitchen cupboard came away. No tools available that I could find but fixed it with a bike tool I had brought. Outside bins were overflowing from previous guests and it was a real squeeze to get our small amount of rubbish in. Also nothing in the guide to say when or where to put the bins out. There was also a wood delivery whilst we were there which was left outside on the drive. As the weather was very wet I felt we should put it in the garage . Only 5 bags but maybe there could be a dry wood store outside so guests don't need to do this. Good location for activities in Highlands. Hose backs onto a petrol station so when sitting out in the garden could be noisy from pumps and jetwash and whiffed of diesel. Long driveway to get to house was overgrown both sides so beech trees scraped both sides of the car every time we went in and out. Enjoyed it, don't think I'd go back though

A utility room and two shower rooms join the ground floor, with the addition of a snug, for a cosy afternoon reading session.

Lastly, discover the family bathroom which is elevated by a corner bath, and an overhead shower to compliment your stay.

There is a large double garage, which has been converted into a games room to include a snooker/pool table, table football and darts to keep both the little and big kids amused.

Centrally placed, guests can easily walk to the local bakery, butchers and newsagents, or perhaps pop out to one of the lively local pubs for pre-dinner drinks!
