Everything has been thought of to make the Guests stay comfortable, a credit to the Owners and Cleaners. The view is amazing and it was relaxing to watch the the sea at such close proximity in the comfort of the cottage or out walking the dog. Perfect for our young dog with an enclosed garden at the rear and lots of walks nearby. The locals are friendly and we would definitely love to visit again, it was well worth the six hour drive. Thank you.

Cool being so close to the sea, and the locals were very friendly. We had a great stay and would recommend to family and friends. Only one minor thing for us was that we could not stop the automatic light in shower room, being close to the bedroom it woke us up. Even with the curtain drawn on back of bedroom door. It would have been good to disable the auto function at bedtime. But apart from that everything else was great.

Everything was just perfect. The snug in particular where we sat most evenings is a lovely area to relax and enjoy the wonderful sea views. I highly recommend Jade Cottage. The photos don't really do it justice - it's lovely. Places to visit just a few miles from Macduff are, Gardenstown, Crovie and ofcourse Banff. Fish & chips from The Dolphin in Macduff is a must.

Immaculately clean, equipped with everything you could need, cosy and comfortable. The views from the dining area and the loft are stunning! There is a very safe area for the dog, too. The owner is extremely helpful and makes sure you have the best possible stay. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, and a local shop and post office. Banff is just over a mile away with supermarkets and a wider range of shops. We thoroughly recommend Jade Cottage!

The cottage is beautiful. It has everything you need, is immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, and is in a perfect location right by the sea. Very safe for the dog. We really liked Macduff. Some lovely walks along the coast and up high above the village, and just about a mile into Banff. The working harbour is interesting too.

  • "This is a perfect cottage get away."

The owner has obviously taken quite a bit of time in restoration and furnishing the cottage. It is sparklingly clean, with excellent taste in fixtures and fittings and with everything you need for a comfortable stay away. As we spent a week in December, it became dark quite early at around 3.30-4pm and it was just wonderful to return to a warm welcoming 'home from home'. Sitting in the loft with a wee dram to the muffled sound of the sea across the road (windows double glazed) was a perfect way to review the day exploring the many fishing villages along the coast. As the owner/operator of a guesthouse myself, I recommend this cottage without reservation for a couple or single 'get away'

Wow! It was like living in a show home. Right up there with the cleanest, tidiest places we have ever stayed. Audrey, the owner who lived just round the corner could not have been more helpful, and the welcoming pack - superb, even included dog treats, chocolates and flowers. The weather was superb which helped of course and we had a wonderful holiday. An added bonus was the fact that the places we visited as a base for our walks, Banf, Cullen, Fraserburgh (and others whose name escapes me right now) did not charge for parking in their car parks!
