The property

This spacious detached modern farmhouse is situated in the small hamlet of Newton of Dalvey.

A peaceful rural location of five properties, just one mile from the Victorian town of Forres.

The farmhouse is an excellent choice for families and groups who wish to explore the magnificent Moray coast and all it has to offer.

On the ground floor is a spacious recently refurbished living room with patio doors to the garden, which give amazing open views of the beautiful countryside.

The open plan kitchen/diner is bright and spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you could need for entertaining and preparing those special meals.

Next to the kitchen is a separate utility room with additional fridge/freezer and washing machine.

On the ground floor are two double bedrooms, one 4ft 6’ and a modern shower room with toilet.

Upstairs on the first floor are the further two bedrooms, one 5ft double and a twin-bedded room (which can be zipped for a 6ft double).

A short stroll from the property is the river Findhorn, with excellent fishing and abundance of river wildlife, and /or walks to the surrounding woodlands are all accessible within easy walking distance.The town of Forres, boasts all amenities and renowned for its award winning gardens and parks, being Britain in Bloom award winners many times.

The Highland capital of Inverness with airport and main rail links is only 24 miles away.

The award winning town of Nairn is only 9 mile by road, for the enjoyment of its vast sandy safe beaches.

The Farmhouse is a wonderful base for anyone to explore the beautiful Moray coast and surrounding areas.

Moray whisky trail, historic castles, beaches, dolphin spotting, fishing, walking, golfing, in all, this area has everything to offer all visiting guests of all ages.

The pretty town of Forres is one of Scotland's oldest small towns and boasts an array of historical monuments, museums and castles, as well as impressive parks and award winning gardens. Forres is an ideal starting point for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail being home to two of the Distilleries, and in close proximity to another five! Forres boasts two golf courses and some excellent fishing opportunities. Ideally placed for visiting the atmospheric fishing villages that are dotted along the north east coastline and just twenty seven miles from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, it is a great base for a holiday. You can immerse yourself in history with Cawdor and Brodie Castles, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George all within easy reach. Alternatively you can spend time at Findhorn enjoying the beach and looking for seals or a days watersports finishing with a drink overlooking the bay whilst the sun goes down. A five minute drive from Forres will take you to Califer Hill Viewpoint, providing stunning views across the Moray Firth, Findhorn and beyond.
