  • "This is a really lovely hideaway cottage."

Set out in the countryside but with reasonable access to all the major centres. The cottage itself is very clean and well equipped with everything needed supplied. The bedrooms are large and airy with many beds. It has a woodburning fire which really adds to the ambience on a cold wet night. There is a large enclosed garden for your pet to run around in. Plenty of birds of different variety to see and watch including owls which if you are lucky you will see flying. The owners had left us a nice bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Would we go back, yes definitely.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, we are delighted you had a nice stay- despite the weather! We look forward to welcoming you back to Altries again soon. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely with beautiful grounds."

However it was let down by its facilities. The hob was broken (one ring was always on while cooking), some rooms didn't have light bulbs and during the rain there was a leak over the kitchen sink/window. This has the potential to be a fantastic property, but needs TLC.

Thank you for your comments and I am very pleased to hear you felt the cottage was lovely. The Storkery Cottage has been redecorated and new carpets fitted throughout. New furniture installed in the sitting room. It therefore now no longer looks ‘tired’ and has a great feeling of warmth and light as a result of the work we have done. We hope to welcome you in the future with the improvements made. Property Owner
