A charming, detached farmhouse on a working livestock farm, on the owner’s estate, in the middle of the majestic Glen Clova, on the fringes of the Cairngorms National Park, 12 miles from the town of Kirriemuir.

Well appointed throughout to provide spacious, comfortable accommodation, this cottage is ideal for families or friends looking to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquillity of a highland glen.

The dining kitchen has an AGA, as well as an electric oven and hob, and the stunning dining room allows you to dine in style with an open fire crackling away, whilst admiring the views of the glen.

A cosy woodburning stove makes the sitting room the ideal place to relax and unwind with a refreshing drink after a day out on the hills.

A lawn to the front looks along the glen, while the side lawn merges into woodlands which allow for some exploring.

Surrounding this farmhouse is the majesty of Glen Clova, one of the famous Angus Glens.

With superb walking and cycling from your doorstep and fishing on the River South Esk just a short walk away, this farmhouse is ideally located for exploring this stunning part of Scotland.

About the location

Dundee 18 miles.

Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.
