    “Lovely and very spacious cottage.”

Worth noting that there isn't a dvd player and the kitchen is a bit lacking in terms of not very many pans and no caffetiere! A folder with information on bin collection, places worth visiting etc would also be helpful. Generally a very nice place to have spent a week though and I would recommend it to others. Welcome pack was a very nice touch.

White Hillocks Farm

A pair of tastefully decorated, rural cottages set in the idyllic Glen Clova, seven miles from the burgh of Kirriemuir in Angus, Scotland. White Hillocks Farm is surrounded by wondrous hills and countryside with the Cairngorms National Park nearby, making it the perfect stay for a group of ramblers, cyclists or wildlife spotters to come and get away from it all. Both cottages are decorated in peacefully neutral colours, the comforting living areas make a delightful base for an outdoors holiday. The dining rooms and sitting rooms in the properties come with their own fires, making them highly appealing all-year-round. Bring your furry friends along with you as they can stretch their legs in your enclosed lawned garden, or the acres of countryside right on your doorstep. Reflect on the day's adventures in the immaculate bathrooms that come in each cottage. All of the bedrooms are pleasantly furnished, with White Hillocks Cottage boasting a triple room, perfect for families to stay in. White Hillocks Farm House offers a lovely king-size double bedroom on the ground floor, ideal for those with limited mobility. Despite being in a rural setting, a short drive takes you to the well-stocked town of Kirriemuir, offering a wide range of amenities and plenty to keep you busy from museums and art galleries to golf and the birthplace of J M Barrie to discover. Slightly further afield is the marvellous city of Dundee, with elite shopping, wonderful buildings and much to do. Two lovely cottages in a fabulous location.

KIRRIEMUIR

Dundee 18 miles, Aberdeen 55.2 miles

Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.
