  • “The cottage is beautiful, cosy and convenient and would most definitely consider returning should we holiday that way in the future.”

The only thing we found which wasn't really a huge problem to us was the back is missing from the cupboard with the pans in and they are falling back into the old fire place, the cupboard with the salt pepper etc hadn't been cleaned and there were two trays along side of the pan cupboard that had food on them still. As I said this did not affect our stay and we cleaned the cupboard out which wasn't a hardship(it was nice to have condiments available to us). Beautiful garden and the views are ...

Beautiful garden and the views are stunning, we were watching the dolphins from the snug. It would be good to know in advance there is not a toilet upstairs. Just a note to the owner that the bushes at the back of the property as they will be aware is VERY spiky and not great for dogs eyes or children's hands. Thank you for letting your beautiful property out to dog owners especially and I hope we left it to their satisfaction(we have a big hairy dog, so were paranoid about keeping the carpets clean). About the location

WHITEHILLS

Banff 3 miles; Portsoy 5 miles.

Whitehills is just one of the many atmospheric fishing villages dotted along the stunning north east coastline of Scotland. The village boasts a friendly local pub serving good food and a highly-regarded restaurant at the marina, as well as a grocer’s and a fish shop. The modern marina in the village is a busy destination for boats, especially yachts and pleasure crafts. Conveniently placed just three miles from Banff and five miles from Portsoy, this location has much to offer visitors who will enjoy following the rugged coastline that borders the shores of the Moray Firth, and away from the coast, the area is a mixture of rich farmlands and small hamlets surrounded by luscious green fields - a wonderful base for exploring this part of Scotland.
