  • “Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Low Shore.”

We used the cottage as a base and explored Whitehills and lots of the surrounding areas. Highly recommended and the cottage was everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, we slept amazing every night.

About the location

Banff 3 miles; Portsoy 5 miles.

Whitehills is just one of the many atmospheric fishing villages dotted along the stunning north east coastline of Scotland. The village boasts a friendly local pub serving good food and a highly-regarded restaurant at the marina, as well as a grocer’s and a fish shop. The modern marina in the village is a busy destination for boats, especially yachts and pleasure crafts. Conveniently placed just three miles from Banff and five miles from Portsoy, this location has much to offer visitors who will enjoy following the rugged coastline that borders the shores of the Moray Firth, and away from the coast, the area is a mixture of rich farmlands and small hamlets surrounded by luscious green fields - a wonderful base for exploring this part of Scotland.
