  • “Lovely, cosy quirky cottage by the ...”
Lovely, cosy quirky cottage by the sea. Had everything that you could possible need, crockery, pans, comfort and best of all a wonderful view of the sea which was literally steps away. Glorious wood burning stove in the living room which warmed us up on the chilly evenings. Sat on the patio one of the evenings we were there and watched the Northern Lights dancing in the sky..... Made my holiday. Thankyou. Mel

The property

Seaspray Cottage is a cosy and well-equipped fisherman's cottage ideally located right beside the sea in the friendly village of Whitehills, on the stunning Moray Firth coastline of Scotland.

Well appointed throughout, this Whitehills cottage offers spectacular sea views, being just yards from the shoreline, and is ideal for a family or group of friends who appreciate the fabulous location of their Moray Firth holiday home and its easy access to excellent local facilities.

The ground floor accommodation at your cottage in Whitehills is set over two levels and includes a double bedroom.

On the first floor are a further two traditional bedrooms, both of which have sloping ceilings.

The sitting room in this Whitehills cottage retains the original wood-lined walls and benefits from a warming woodburning stove to ensure cosy nights in are guaranteed.

A couple of steps down leads into a lovely, bright fitted kitchen with a smart dining area from where guests can appreciate the uninterrupted sea views whilst enjoying a meal together.

At the rear of this Moray Firth cottage, there is a neat paved patio area complete with furniture - a wonderful place to relax and watch the waves roll in.

The friendly village of Whitehills was built up around its harbour, which was once a thriving fishing port, but is now a successful yacht marina.

You could visit Downies just a short walk away, a local family-run fishmonger, and treat yourself to the catch of the day or perhaps try their wonderful Cullen skink pies, a real local delicacy, which come highly recommended.

For visitors seeking wildlife, this comes in abundance here with seals, dolphins, whales and a wide variety of seabirds all easy to spot.

Children will particularly enjoy the Whitehills playpark which has spectacular views over the Moray Firth, and boasts a wide range of play equipment including a trim trail for keen parents.

This charming Whitehills cottage is in a superb location and can be enjoyed all year round.

About the location

WHITEHILLS

Banff 3 miles; Portsoy 5 miles.

Whitehills is just one of the many atmospheric fishing villages dotted along the stunning north east coastline of Scotland. The village boasts a friendly local pub serving good food and a highly-regarded restaurant at the marina, as well as a grocer’s and a fish shop. The modern marina in the village is a busy destination for boats, especially yachts and pleasure crafts. Conveniently placed just three miles from Banff and five miles from Portsoy, this location has much to offer visitors who will enjoy following the rugged coastline that borders the shores of the Moray Firth, and away from the coast, the area is a mixture of rich farmlands and small hamlets surrounded by luscious green fields - a wonderful base for exploring this part of Scotland.
