Shame there is not outdoor seating/table in a sunny spot but otherwise very good. Bedrooms very light in the morning as blinds not very effective but it was mid June!

On the ground-floor you will also discover a contemporary bathroom, melt your stresses away in the tub or opt for a refreshing rinse in the walk-in shower.

As the sky grows dark, climb upstairs to the first floor to find two king-size double bedrooms, each offering an extra single bed, as well as storage to house your belongings.

In the morning, make use of the handy cloakroom on the first floor for a quick freshen up before joining your guests in the living/ dining room for a home-cooked breakfast.

Bring along your clubs to enjoy a swing at Kinloss Country Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course and afterwards you can visit Woodside Farm And Coffee Shop for a refreshment.

Just a short drive away is one of Scotland's oldest towns, Forres, where you will find Nelson's Tower up on a hilly wood, the Dava Way for a ramble amongst nature, as well as the 16th century Brodie Castle.

Why not visit the coastal village of Findhorn to feel the sand between your toes on the beach, unveil the rich history at Findhorn Heritage centre and treat your loved ones to a beachfront meal?

Settled on the south coast of Moray is the town of Elgin, where budding historians can marvel at the Cathedral, learn about the town's past at Elgin Museum and visit the Duke of Gordon's Monument.
