  • "We had a fantastic family weekend break at Hargate Farm Barn."

The cottage was outstanding in every way, we could find no reason to criticise in any way. Stepehen and Michelle met us on arrival to intorduce themselves, and were on hand should we have needed them. The hot tub was great and big enough for our whole party to get in together. The garden was fully enclosed allowing our dogs to play without any risk. Simply a great place. We would highly reccomend without hesitation. Thank you

  • "As a group of 5 Ladies (Girls weekend) we had an amazing time at Hargate."

Stephen and Michelle were very welcoming and we knew if there was an issue they were nearby to help. The property was spotless, the kitchen was very well equipped. There was an abundance of games etc to entertain children. The place was decorated with lots of personal details to make it "homey" . Even though it was a barn conversion it was a very warm property that had underfloor heating with separate controls for each room .The outside areas were beautifully well maintained and the hot tub was a great feature. I would happily recommend it as a great place for a family or a group of friends to stay at.

Thank you for leaving a review which has been so positive and informative for potential guests to read. We are really pleased you enjoyed your time at the barn and thank you Property Owner

It was extremely well equipped and the Christmas decorations really enhanced the beauty of the property and the decor and furnishings. An amazing property for a get away from it all break.

  • "We had a great time, and hope to return in future years."

We loved the fact that the garden is fully secure for the dog, which is not true of all gardens that advertise this. We appreciated the fact that when (minor) issues emerged, they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. And we valued the prompt and friendly attention of the owners when required/helpful, alongside the privacy at other times.

Thank you for your lovely review and we will look forward to the possibility of seeing you again in the future Property Owner

Very underhand please if you book this property watch yourselves. Spoilt our holiday will never return .

Lisa is usually able to get most things out of our linen but was unable to remove all of the large mud stain, which could have been avoided had you used the dog towels and blankets we provide to prevent this from happening. We don’t know why you feel this was underhanded.I spent time finding the same cover so not to have to replace pillow cases as well,it was also reduced. We were surprised that as you were leaving you told us it was the nicest place you had stayed, for you to feel so different now Property Owner

  • "Hargate Farm Barn is a superb holiday rental, extremely comfortable and spacious."

Very clean & well maintained with lovely furnishings to make it very enjoyable. Lots of areas to sit & relax& a large garden to enjoy. The owners are very friendly & helpful with lots of local information & recommendations. The location made it easy for us to explore parts of Norfolk, I would have like to walk to the local villages but I wouldn’t recommend as the roads are busy & the verges not easy for pedestrians in places.

Thank you for review, it is always lovely to hear that you had a good and enjoyable stay at the barn. Thank you for letting others be aware of the lack of paths, as we are totally in the country and although we are used to road walking, others may not be Property Owner

The house is amazing and so well maintained. The owners are lovely and so helpful. We had a wonderful time. 4 adults and 2 children and never felt crowded. Separate lounge at front of house for quiet times - great for granny and grandad to hide away. The owners have created a wonderful holiday home. Worth every penny.

! My family and i spent three nights at the facility and were simply blown away. We had a dog with us too and on arrival there were even treats for her. Everything was thought of. More though, everything was of the best quality. The hosts, amazing. The were son unobtrusive and on the couple of times when i did speak to them, they were helpful and really, really pleasant. Could not recommend this accommodation enough.

The property was extremely well-finished throughout and fully equipped with everything you could need. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, log burner in the living room and the cosy reading area in the mezzanine above; the whole property was very cosy and the hosts very communicative and helpful with recommendations.

  • "An excellent venue for a winter break for 3 generations of our family."

Lovely and cosy inside with underfloor heating - individual thermostats to each room. Lots of natural light. We were blessed with some remarkable weather for February and didn't expect to be sunbathing in the courtyard by the fishpond and fountain - very relaxing for everyone. The layout enables plenty of space for everyone to get together but also to "get away" to a quiet space, both indoors and outdoors. The hot tub was well used by some of us. Don't expect huge amounts of tourist attractions very close by, but that's part of it's charm, I can see why many people might barely leave the accommodation during the stay - it's so comfortable.

  • "My friends & I go away every year and we all agreed this was the best cottage to date."

The house is beautiful and ticks all our key cottage boxes; hot tub (huge), real fire, close to country pubs (a short drive) country walks & ample sofas (the amount of places that don’t have enough sofas for the number of people they sleep is madness). It’s also dog friendly, there’s multiple bathrooms/toilets, even a mini garden with a beautiful fish pond (great for a morning coffee) in addition to the main. It’s quiet and we slept like logs. The main garden was also great for star gazing given little light pollution in the area (also great from the hot tub with a glass of fizz). Parking was also great as we have 4 cars which all easily fit on the guest drive. Whilst slightly tricky to find, once there it’s easy. The owners Michelle & Stephen are lovely and were quick to respond when we had a query, they couldn’t be any more helpful, plus provided welcome fizz & milk. We loved our weekend and have discussed returning, it was perfect.

The owners are really welcoming and are more than happy to give you info on the best locations to visit during your stay. The cottage is very tranquil and if you looking for a relaxing holiday home away from home this is defiantly the place... you won't be disappointed... the hot tub is defiantly a added bonus that we enjoyed daily! The location is perfect.. very peacefully and if your bringing your furry friend they won't be disappointed either as lots of walks close by!! Would highly recommend going to the Broads which was only about an hours drive at tops. If you looking for a holiday in a private, quite location we would highly recommend.

We were able to use a wheelchair inside and out as accommodation was spacious. Kitchen well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Huge dining room table easy for wheel chair use. Enclosed garden with comfortable garden furniture. Morning sunshine for breakfast outside. Hot tub looked inviting but unfortunately didn’t get chance to use. Owners couldn’t do enough for us. They were delightful. Perfect .

We loved the property and would happily live there. We travelled with 2 kids and 2 dogs and noone wanted to leave the property whilst we were there. The barn is beautifully done out and lots of extra touches to make you feel at home. Loads of space, far bigger than it looks on the photos. Great place for a relaxing break away. The owners are lovely and couldn't do more for you. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back.

  • "We booked this property at the last minute and somewhat spontaneously when my wife found it."

It looked fantastic in the pictures and was even better in the flesh. Although it may not look large from the outside it is very extensive and has some really nice features. There were only three of us and the dog most of the time although the in-laws came for a few days too. There is plenty of space and rooms for everyone to have a bit of private time or to come together as you want. It is equipped with everything you may need and the owners couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. Personally I loved the courtyard for a spot of afternoon reading whilst watch the fish, but be warned it is a sun trap ! Our son loved the hot tub, which was lovely and big enough for all of us without feeling like we were sitting on top of each other - who needs a pool when you just want to relx in the water ? I cannot recommend the property enough, it is immaculate, tastefully furnished and immensely welcoming - you felt at home and comfortable as you walk through the door....I miss the courtyard already and we only left this morning !
