Botany Bay Farm Barns

Aylsham 3 miles. These two superb converted barns offer spacious accommodation, rich in character, set in the owners’ grounds, in a semi-rural location close to the pretty market town of Aylsham. The cottages are ideal for anyone wishing to discover the Norfolk countryside as they have the advantage of being centrally positioned for the coast, city and the world-famous Norfolk Broads. The barns are finished to a high standard with many original features such as exposed beams, brickwork and woodburning stoves, perfect for friends, families and romantic breaks away. Locally in the well-serviced market town of Aylsham you will find a good selection of shops, regular markets and weekly auctions. From the properties you can access Marsham and Cawston heaths where an abundance of paths and woodland walks span this beautiful heathland area, a Site of Special Scientific Interest which attracts a variety of wildlife including deer, wild ponies, badgers and barn owls, as well as some endangered species such as Nightjars and the Blue Studded Butterfly. The barns are only ten minutes’ drive from two stunning National Trust properties, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and within an hour you can be at Holkham, Sandringham and the popular town of Holt. Two wonderful family holiday cottages for a country break, any time of the year.

The property

This beautifully spacious two bedroom barn conversion retains many of the original features of the Victorian Threshing Barn such as beams and brickwork, and offers comfortable accommodation for up to six guests with the use of the sofa bed in the sitting area.

On the ground floor is a comfortable open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining and living areas.

You will be able to sink into the luxurious leather chesterfield sofas and enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stove on cooler evenings; or when it’s warmer, open the doors and enjoy a meal and glass of wine looking over the paddocks towards the heathland, catching some beautiful sunsets in your own private garden.
