“Cottage was full of flies.”

A large fly paper sheet was hanging in the middle of the kitchen with hundreds of flies on it. Had to spend first 2 days cleaning. Lots of dust and cobwebs. Everything needs repkacung and modernising. Tv remote broken . Tv dated. Beds squeaky. Matresses hard. Utensils and cutlery old and pans not fit for use. Dishwasher is for 2 not a family.. Bulbs need replacing. Needs a lot of told and a deep clean.

Flies: property is situated in rural location and was the hottest summer on record causing more flies than usual. There was fly paper in the kitchen to make sure the flies could be caught. Guests put up a new fly paper up during their stay. ---- Disputes cleanliness issues at property. ---- It is a rustic property and is exactly how it is advertised. ---- The remote control is missing the back of the remote but it still works perfectly. The TV is dated but its advertised clearly on the pictures on the website. ---- Mattresses - never had any previous complaints. Cutlery is old and this will be replaced. Pans and utensils have been checked and are fine. ---- Bulbs have been replaced. Sykes owner relations

“Fantastic rural retreat”

This was our second visit to Threshers Barn and I can say it is a wonderful place to stay!!! We love the rustic barn with its wonderful decor, the kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds!!the lounge is very pleasant place to enjoy your family's or each other's company with its comfortable sofas and large dining table The surrounding areas are beautiful to say the least with woods and meadows and the coast just a short drive away I strongly recommend this beautiful barn conversion to all my family and friends as it truly is beautiful place to stay!!! Botany Bay Farm Barns

From the properties you can access Marsham and Cawston heaths where an abundance of paths and woodland walks span this beautiful heathland area, a Site of Special Scientific Interest which attracts a variety of wildlife including deer, wild ponies, badgers and barn owls, as well as some endangered species such as Nightjars and the Blue Studded Butterfly. The barns are only ten minutes’ drive from two stunning National Trust properties, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and within an hour you can be at Holkham, Sandringham and the popular town of Holt. The property

This beautifully spacious two bedroom barn conversion retains many of the original features of the Victorian Threshing Barn such as beams and brickwork, and offers comfortable accommodation for up to six guests with the use of the sofa bed in the sitting area.

On the ground floor is a comfortable open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining and living areas.

You will be able to sink into the luxurious leather chesterfield sofas and enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stove on cooler evenings; or when it’s warmer, open the doors and enjoy a meal and glass of wine looking over the paddocks towards the heathland, catching some beautiful sunsets in your own private garden.

It has a lovely selection of pubs, shops, restaurants and tea rooms and is just a mile from the wonderful NT Blickling Hall. There are a wide variety of small market towns and villages surrounding Aylsham and the coast is just 10 miles away. Spend a day in the historic cathedral city of Norwich, or take to the water with a boat on the world famous Norfolk Broads. Head to the coast which is just 20 minutes by car, or explore the Georgian town of Holt, awash with boutiques, galleries and antique shops. A superb destination all year round.
