“This was a last minute booking so we were unsure what to expect.”

When we arrived on the Saturday afternoon we were so pleased with the cottage we had booked. It was lovely and clean and the decor was very seaside themed which was perfect. When we arrived on the Saturday afternoon we were so pleased with the cottage we had booked. It was lovely and clean and the decor was very seaside themed which was perfect. The bedding was spotless and the bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean. The lounge area was very comfortable and perfect for our family weekend. All of the beds were very comfortable and there was even space to eat our meals at a table. The kitchen had everything we needed and even included a dishwasher and washing machine. There was a cute garden with plenty of space to sit outside if the weather had been warmer. We were very impressed with our accommodation which made our weekend break perfect. The location was also excellent as we were walking distance to the beach so went for nice long walks along the flat sandy beach in the evening. There were also places to grab a take away very close by and I'm sure once the lockdown rules ease further other guests would benefit from being able to eat inside the restaurants nearby.

The property

Situated in the pretty village of Bacton, near the Norfolk coastline, is Paston Lodge, a superb lodge providing an exceptional base for a small group of friends or a family to explore this coastal area.

Entering the property via the rear conservatory, you will be greeted by the dining area where you can enjoy your lovingly prepared home-cooked meals over a well-deserved glass of wine.

You will find the living room to the right hand side, home to a plush reclining corner sofa you can look forward to cosying up on with your loved ones.

From here the fitted kitchen provides all the appliances you could need to cook up a delicious meal for the whole family to enjoy, including a convenient dishwasher and a handy washing machine to refresh your clothes.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the bedrooms to rest your head before the next day's action-packed adventures; the abode hosts two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, ideal for couples, friends and families, and decorated with a bright and airy décor and finished with sea-themed canvases, fitting with the excellent location of the property.

Completing the interior is a family shower room with high-quality fixtures and fittings, so you can enjoy a warm soak at the end of a tiring day, and ample fitted storage throughout the lodge making use of the space so you can store your belongings.

Take your dining outside in the evenings and let your four-legged friends stretch their legs as you sip a glass of wine on the patio furniture.

Take a break from cooking one day and head out to one of the nearby eateries, such as Oriental Garden or Sugar and Spice Café; whatever your favourite cuisine, you will be spoilt for choice with the pubs, restaurants, and cafés within easy reach of the lodge.

Travel towards the ancient fishing village of Eccles-on-Sea, where you will discover a long stretch of sand, perfect for for dogs and owners of all ages.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the soft sands, where you and your little ones can get involved with a variety of beach games, build sand castles, go swimming and even sunbathing!

A short car journey will take you to the Norfolk Coast AONB and the beautiful Norfolk Broads,; the well-placed position of the lodge is ideal for accessing some of the village's finest sites, with plenty of trails giving access to a wealth of rolling countryside and a plethora of wildlife to spot along the way.

Sea and animal lovers will enjoy Sea Life Great Yarmouth; reachable by car, the aquarium centre makes for a fascinating day out for the whole family while those of the group looking for a quirkier day out can visit the Merrivale Model Village which also plays host to a garden railway, mini-golf and a penny arcade.

Make this your perfect getaway to the Norfolk coastline with your loved ones.
