"Little Lodge 1 is well decorated and extremely clean and tide throughout."
The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and peaceful yet within easy reach of many attractions. Highly recommended.
"It was thoughtful of Owner Jackie to provide milk, jam, bread and biscuits."
The Property was well designed, nicely decorated and furnished and in a peaceful location. It would have been most helpful to have been made aware in advance that there was no Mobile or Wi-Fi Signal in the property. We had an very elderly relative in a poor state of health and daily contact with his care establishment could have been made in the evenings from our location.
"This was the third time we have stayed at Little Lodges which serves to illustrate our complete satisfaction with this holiday experience."
The hosts,Jackie and Kevin,go above and beyond to ensure that guests have an enjoyable holiday. The lodges are comfortable, clean and set in beautiful grounds which are well maintained. The welcome pack provided means that you can enjoy a hot drink and a snack before unloading the car.We highly recommend Little Lodges.
"Another great week at Little Lodge, such a peaceful place and spotless as always, thanks Jackie and Kevin"
"Very nice cottage, in a nice area by the river, when we arrived there was milk ..."
Very nice cottage, in a nice area by the river, when we arrived there was milk and cheese in the fridge along with jam and marmalade, in the cupboard there was tea coffee, and biscuits, The owner whose name escapes me at the moment, called round to see if everything was ok, and to let us know that if we needed anything to give her a knock, she also said that on our departure day there was no pressure on leaving by ten, and to go when we were ready, a thoroughly relaxing break
"It's a lovely wooden interior lodge with all the facilities needed for two."
Gets a bit warm in warm weather and you can't simply leave the windows open to cool as the biting insects are drawn in by the lights. No wi-fi, which would have been useful, especially as mobiles get no signal - unless you really want to be away from it all! We enjoyed ourselves. There's a Morrisons in Dereham 5 miles away and a very good general store in nearby Swanton Morley, and its well placed for Blickling Hall, Oxburgh Hall, Wells-by-the-sea and Norwich. We'd happily go again.
"First thing you notice when you enter Little Lodges is the cleanliness of the accommodation."
The welcome pack provided by Jackie and Kevin is excellent and enables you to chill out with a drink and snack before tackling the unloading of your car.The Lodges are quiet and secluded with no passing traffic and the extensive grounds are meticulously maintained by Kevin. No wi-fi and intermittent phone reception may not suit everyone but can help for a truly relaxing 'get away from it all' week in a beautiful part of Norfolk.
"Spotless. Our second time at Little Lodges and guests are guaranteed to walk in on a freshly aired, thoroughly cleaned cottage."
Jackie clearly takes pride in keeping the cottages clean, well maintained and having everything in working order and thinking of everything a customer might need for a self catering holiday. It's in a quiet country location just five minutes drive from the town of Dereham.
"The owners clearly take great pride in presenting a spotlessly clean, well equipped and well maintained holiday let."
It’s situated down a private road, there is no passing traffic, it is so peacefully quiet. We have booked again already and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.
"This cottage would be a 5 star rating if only if it had wifi as the phone signal was quite poor which hindered looking up information about the area hard, otherwise a perfect cottage."
"Very comfortable, well equipped lodge."
Everything we needed. Helpful owners & plenty of goodies on arrival. Thank you.
"The cottage was all we desired and the owner very friendly and helpful."
It helped to make Christmas enjoyable.
"Very friendly hosts."
Peaceful location, we enjoyed a good holiday.
"Would definately recommend staying at little lodge 1, my partner and me had a very relaxing break here."
The bungalow is beautiful inside, the decor and cleanliness is second to none, and the grounds are set in peaceful beautiful woodland surroundings. The owners are very lovely and made us feel very welcome, giving great advice about getting to various places, Will definately be staying here again. Thank you for a really great stay :)

About the location
Dereham 3 miles.
Bylaugh is a tiny hamlet with a Saxon round towered church, nestling by the River Wensum, located between the villages of Swanton Morley and Bawdeswell. Both villages, each 1.5 miles away, have village stores and public houses with restaurants. Swanton Morley also has a butcher’s/delicatessen and village bakery. The large market town of Dereham offers an array of shops and supermarkets, a sports centre, cinema, church, museums, and the Mid Norfolk Heritage Railway. A traditional weekly market is held on Tuesday and Friday in the market square. The city of Norwich with its bars, restaurants, cathedral and castle, is 16 miles. There is plenty of walking, fishing and cycling in the area, which is within reasonable driving distance of Sandringham, the Norfolk Showground, Pensthorpe or even the glorious coastline.
