    “A nice comfortable cottage, in a good location, a good pub in the village a few minutes walk from the cottage, served good food every night except Mondays when they are closed.”

The property

This detached holiday home is on the outskirts of the village of Great Ellingham, Norfolk.

Inside this lovely cottage there is a relaxing open plan living and dining area and a sitting area which has a double sofa.

The feature spiral staircase leads to a double bedroom which has a super king-size bed which can be zip/linked to become a twin room, as well as a shower wet room with shower, basin and WC.

Outside there is a small private gravel garden patio area with seating, the perfect spot to sit and relax whilst reflecting on the day’s activities.

The village of Great Ellingham is locally renowned for the annual Teddy Bear Trail event that takes place in July, together with other events, when the villagers build and display straw bears in their gardens to create a Teddy Bear Trail.

There are a wide range of places to visit nearby with Banham Zoo just ten miles away, the beautiful historical city of Norwich and market town of Bury St Edmunds are within easy reach together with numerous National Trust homes nearby to visit.

For motorsport fans, Snetterton motor racing circuit is five minutes away by car and hosts a number of popular events including the British Touring Car Championship, the British Superbikes and a number of other race meetings throughout the year.

For a day out in nature, the beautiful scenery of Thetford Forest offers wonderful walking and mountain biking opportunities, and hosts an array of outdoor events and live music concerts in a superb setting.
