  • "Brambles was very clean and very well equipped and felt like a home from home."

The settees were very comfortable and so were the beds. The step in shower was excellent. The outside platform area was very safe for our dog and is gated. The grounds were ideal for short dog walks. The lodge also has a 7kw EV charger which worked well (owner charges for the electricity used at the end of your stay). Leigh, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a perfect week there and would definitely stay again.

Thats great to hear that everything was comfortable for you at Brambles and look forward to seeing you again. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "The owner Leigh was there to welcome and show us around Brambles which is not over looked by the other two properties on the site."

The veranda is a pleasant place for breakfast if the weather obliges. The grounds are large and very suitable for walking the dog. It is a good base to explore Norfolk and Suffolk. As we have a dog she was able to advise us about suitable local pubs for eating out. We tried two:- The Red Lion, Kenninghall (dogs allowed in bar/snug, food only served in the snug. Parking on the road only). The White Horse, South Lopham (large car park, turn left on entering the pub). Pleasant surroundings and good quality pub food in both.

Thank you and great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hopefully see you again sometime in the future. Property Owner

  • "We think this is the nicest , cleanest and best place we have ever rented."

The owner , Leigh , was extremely pleasant and helpful. The " Brambles" had everything we needed but in addition Leigh had left us milk in the fridge, dishwasher tablets, shower gel etc. Really appreciated , not often we find this in rentals. A lovely location as well. Deer wandering through, owl hooting at night. Lovely and quiet. It was an excellent holiday. We will definitely stay again. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your comments and its lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay and got to hear and see some wildlife. Hope to see you again sometime. Property Owner

We loved watching the rabbits & deer from the veranda, although there are three lodges and the grounds are shared you would not know anyone else was there as they are not overlooked and very private.

Thank you and thats great that you enjoyed your stay and watching the wildlife. Hope to see you again sometime. Property Owner

  • "This was our second stay at Alderwood (Hawthorns) first time then this stay at Brambles."

Leigh couldn't be more helpful & really goes out of her way to make your stay a memorable one. Everything is provided that you'd expect & more. The cabins are so cosy & you never need to feel cold. There's even heated individual blankets on the beds if you want to feel even cosier. The heating is fantastic & we always felt warm during the minus temperatures outside. We're booking for 2024 but in the summer this time. There was nothing we could fault, it was all just perfect. Thanks Leigh for loan of the USB plug which we forgot to bring. We're already looking forward to returning. Ian, Sarah & Jasper

Thank you both and of course Jasper, and really pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit. Property Owner

  • "This was our second stay at Brambles and we enjoyed it just as much as the first stay."

Love the little touches like providing kids duvet covers (big hit with our 2yr old!), Electric fans, tea bags, dishwasher tablets etc. It's great having the woods on the doorstep and we loved the fairy garden which is new since last time. Leigh was very helpful prior to our arrival and we would happily stay again.

Lovely to hear your little one enjoyed the kids duvet design and that you enjoyed your stay again at our lodge site and look forward to seeing you all again sometime in the future. Thank you Property Owner

  • "We have just got back from the most lovely holiday at Bramble cottage."

To quote my 5 year old "mummy, I had such a good holiday, it was the best." The owner was very kind and we felt very looked after with all the facilities, big (clothes airer, tumble dryer etc.) and small (a box full of tea bags, dishwasher tables, clothes washing liquid etc.). The lodge itself was extremely clean and cared for and the amount of free space for the boys and dog to run around in was amazing :) such beautiful grounds. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you, Leigh :) The Brewsters

The Lodge itself was brilliant, it had everything you needed for comfort and with the change in the increment weather the week we were there the warmth of the Lodge was great too. with some touches above and beyond expectations. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and we all loved walking through the woodland walk every day. Our cairn terrier Ice really enjoyed the freedom of no lead and the freedom to run around. Then back to the warm lodge for a cup of tea. Every evening we were visited by the Muntjac deer looking for food, Not to mention the squirrels and birds. The site agent Leigh made sure everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble - really great. Well the week soon was over and it has given us some wonderful memories. For February the weather was really good. One day we went to the centre at Thetford forest, had a good walk and then tucked into our picnic. Top notch. Would we come again- you bet we would and to anyone thinking of going there book it.
