  • "An extremely relaxing comfortable stay, in a beautiful location."

The cabin was first class and very well equipped down to the last detail, including a 50" Samsung with all the usual smart channels available. There is also a/c in the lounge and the kitchen is comprehensively equipped with quality items. Leigh, the owner, was unobtrusive, but on hand if needed. Leigh also provided all the cleaning and toiletry items you would need. There are three cabins at this location, each cabin being some distance from the other, but all leading to a private wooded area, where there is bird hide, equipped with binoculars, and an interesting fairy garden. There's plenty of parking next to each cabin, a lovely verandah where you can relax and watch the wildlife and a great place to eat your breakfast. lunch and dinner. Our group consisted of Mum, Dad, two grown up daughters and one son in law and as we had family living nearby, we had a bit of a get together, where the extra large bar-be-que came into it's own. There's lots to see and do in the area, and a large supermarket in nearby Diss if you want to stock up. There also two small shops a few minutes drive away. So to summarize, a fantastic week, and we will be returning for another stay. Big thanks to Leigh and Co. for making it such a great place to be!

Thank you for your lovely comments and so glad you all enjoyed your stay at Alderwood Lodges and look forward to seeing you all again sometime Property Owner

Leigh could not have been more friendly and helpful (though not intrusive in any way). Though we went out and about each day, it was so lovely to get back to the lodge, have a drink on the terrace and just listen to the birdsong!

Lots of thoughtful touches in the lodge (eg bird seed, binoculars, tin foil, bin bags etc) and a lot of trouble taken to cater for the Covid requirements. The hosts seems to really know what they were doing, and did it well. Thoroughly recommended! A real bonus to be visited by a pair of muntjac deer most evenings too!
