“The chalet is just big enough for a family of 4, our children are 8 and 11 and loved this little place.”

The space is deceptively large when you are using it. The plot is the best on the site as it shares a common lawn with only 5 chalets of which only 2 or 3 were occupied at any one time. Its position is excellent as it faces west overlooking the marina on the broads so you get to experience some lovely sunsets. The chalet was very clean and had almost everything you would want in there. We brought a lot of our own equipment but found we didn't need to unpack them (mainly cooking equipment). On reflection, it did get hot inside the chalet (it was 31degrees outside during our stay, with daily temps in the mid 20s). But no electric fans which if present would have made it perfect. Despite not having this, it didn't detract from a perfect week. The location of the site is very good also. We loved evening walks from the site through the broads, past the marina upto Burgh Castle (one if the UKs best preserved Roman structures), 3 impressive high walls still standing tall after almost 2000yrs. The sunsets from there across the river capturing the wind pumps and the views are awesome. Plus at between 1900 and 2000hrs you can see the local Barn Owl catching its prey in the adjacent field. Within 15 mins you can drive to the beautiful beaches of Gorlston or Caister. Great for dogs all year round, huge beaches with plenty of space to distance yourselves. I would highly recommend this place. We were put off by the size and the cover picture. But neither presented an issue. Actually being there for a few hours makes those doubts a distant memory. Very good price also.
