    “Lovely comfortable cottage.”

    Was worried taking a winter holiday but the cottage was very warm and cosy. Nice people. Easy to get to the coast and a shop 5 minutes away and a lovely fish and chips

    Was worried taking a winter holiday but the cottage was very warm and cosy. Nice people. Easy to get to the coast and a shop 5 minutes away and a lovely fish and chips Shop too. Our dog had a great time. Enclosed gardens back and front. So we had no worries letting her out. We would go again.

Located at one end of the owners' traditional large flint and red brick farmhouse is this cosy annexe, enjoying a peaceful rural location in the Norfolk village of Buxton, 6 miles from Wroxham in the Norfolk Broads.

Just a few minutes' walk from this Norfolk cottage is the Bure Valley Railway, where you can enjoy a nostalgic ride to the well-known Wroxham Broad or the market town of Aylsham.

Local attractions include Blickling Estate, Wolterton Park, Wroxham Barns and many more.

The surrounding area also has a wealth of gardens to enjoy, including East Ruston, Mannington, Alby, Priory Maze and Fairhaven, plus BeWILDerwood in Hoveton near Wroxham is a must for families.

The city of Norwich is nearby and offers a castle, cathedrals, interesting museums, shops and more.

The seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer are within easy driving distance, along with quieter beaches to be found at Bacton, Walcott and Eccles-on-Sea, while jet skiers will enjoy Sea Palling.

The Norfolk village of Buxton was the home of Anna Sewell, author of Black Beauty. This lovely quiet rural village adjoins the village of Lammas, separated only by the River Bure at Buxton Mill. Buxton village sits within the attractive Broadlands area of Norfolk, just 6 miles from Wroxham the heart of the Norfolk Broads, where you can hire a river cruiser or board one of the larger passenger cruisers and explore the river. Heading further inland you come to the beautiful cathedral city of Norwich, offering a wealth of interesting places to visit, along with excellent shopping, fine restaurants, cafés, and good nightlife. The local market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham are just a short drive away with weekly markets and auctions. Norfolk has many steam railways with the local Bure Valley Railway operating from Wroxham to Aylsham, stopping in the village of Buxton.
