  • "The Headlands was perfect for a coastal break with my two dogs, the chalet is really well equipped, comfy and I liked the fact that it is not overlooked."

Even being there in a heatwave was OK as there was always plenty of shade. Being so close to the beach was great for the dogs, it was never crowded and there were no restrictions, just miles and miles of lovely sand. I would definitely book again.

  • "Very well equipped, a few minor issues with the cleanliness."

I kept my case under the bed and when I took it out to come home the lower side, in contact with the floor, was covered in dog hairs. Not very nice! Obviously the cleaners did not clean under the bed. There were no other dog hairs in the property. My wife tried to use the vacuum cleaner during our stay, it was not very efficient due to the dust cylinder being full and smelt of dogs, the smell was so strong that I had to vacate the property as it brought on an asthma attack and my wife had to open the door and all the windows to air the chalet before I could go back in. Our friend who was with us does house cleaning as a job and was not impressed. A pity as we generally enjoyed our stay

  • "It was a great holiday."

The chalet was clean and well-presented and only a short walk from the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped for self-catering. Situated at the edge of the site, you can sit out on the patio of 299 without being overlooked by other holiday makers. The link to Google directions initially took us to California Cliffs Holiday Park. The owners were very helpful and polite when I called to ask for further directions, but it might help to have the full address on the Sykes listing. All in all, very pleased and would definitely go again.

  • "On arrival the chalet was exactly as described on the web site, however waking up after the first night every thing was wet and damp, there was a damp patch on the wall in the bedroom and we had to clean hair out of the bath before it could be used, by Wednesday evening the electricity went off and we had to put £15 in the meter to last us the rest of the week."

In the owners manual it told us email them in the event of the electricity going off to arrange a refund however there was no email address left.

Only took us a few minutes to rectify but should not be like this. Despite this would be happy to book again

  • "Well presented and equipped chalet."

Very comfortable. Owners had thought about everything. Situated in quiet part of holiday park. Would have helped if full address was on details. Just as well I'd researched address on internet as it would have been difficult to find relying on address given by Sykes cottages.

  • "The chalet was lovely, bright, practically and tastefully decorated."

It had more than we expected in terms of kitchen equipment, cleaning items, games, DVDS, extra blankets and pillows, fliers and booklets about things to see in the area, dog bowls, a folder containing info etc. It was a nice home from home with a bright living room and two bedrooms. The kids' beds were very comfy but the double bed made a clanking metal sound every time we sat or turned. We didn't need much heating but the radiators were not ones we would use as the burning flame inside consumes oxygen and they are not very safe either esp the ones in the kids bedroom, placed under the curtains. Thankfully, it was quite warm so we didn't need much heating. We enjoyed the location close to a lovely sandy, dog friendly beach, a beautiful places even when cloudy. All in all, a lovely place in a well appointed holiday park (we used the pool and had kebabs and pizzas from the kebab place, very yummy). Had it not been for the clanking double bed and the heaters, we'd have said that it has exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

  • "The chalet is a great base just to get away."

The view is great with the sunset in the evening. The swimming pool on site is a good size. The kids loved the pool. On the weekend we had to book a timeslot as it got busy, but during the week we just turned up and had the pool to ourselves most of the time as it wasn't very busy. The beach is a 5 minute walk down the road. This place is great for a relaxing holiday.

  • "Great base for exploring Norfolk Coast."

Cottage smelt a bit of dogs (we didn't have a dog) but was clean throughout. Toaster didn't work (as per previous review) but this was replaced promptly once I reported it. We only got to use onsite pool once due to being booked up well in advance, this is probably due to new Covid restrictions with limiting numbers. I suggest calling in advance to book swimming slots before your holiday stay. Perhaps not so busy outside of school holidays. Duvets should be replaced with summer ones, we found the 13.5 tog ones too hot during our stay. Overall a good stay, double bed comfortable enough and kitchen had all that was required for a short stay.

It means you’re a 10 minute walk from the beach. The pool was closed due to corona , but the arcade is open. The chalet itself was clean and the beaches are sandy, and excellent for dogs , with no restrictions.
