  • "A lovely well cared for and cosy property, with everything you could possibly need for a time away from home."

Situated in a quiet location with well cared for grounds. Within easy access of coastal resorts and great local amenities.

  • "This is our second stay at 21 Siesta Mar which speaks for itself."

The owner provides excellent email and text information before and during our stay. The site is so quiet and well maintained. I would like the fridge to be bigger but in a small kitchen area that would be difficult. Mundesley is a lovely old fashioned seaside village well located for visiting other places of interest.

    G. milk, tea bags, etc when we arrived. The site is well kept too. The chalet was well equipped. The location is ideal, only a 10 minute walk for the main beach area, and it's so useful having the Tesco Express only a few minutes walk from the site. Mundesley is also a good location to explore the wider area. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year!

Welcome milk ,biscuits and tea available on our arrival. The holiday cottage was spotless and this was our second stay there and we would happily return. There is no washing machine or dish washer but that isn't a problem as far as I'm concerned. Beds are comfortable, there is ample parking. There is a small Tesco nearby which copes for small shopping needs. The beach is close by as are country walks. All in all it's a restful place to stay.

  • "Fridge and freezer not working."

Doors not able to open properly because bed in the way. No access to the wardrobe because a cupboard in the way. Very high condensation levels, which smelt very damp and which also caused the bathroom fan to run all the time. much smaller than expected. Water running so slow it took several minutes even to get to do the washing up and we gave up on the shower in the end. Having used Sykes cottages over the years this was very disappointing. It was so bad after 3 days we gave up and came home.

We are very sorry that Ms Dean had a - frankly - untypical experience in our chalet and It was unfortunate that she left the property after 3 days without informing anyone at all, as it allowed no time to investigate her complaints before the next guests arrived. We wish she had contacted us for help and were genuinely upset that she had been disappointed. Without going into copious detail, these complaints remain a mystery as the following week's guests confirmed that everything was working as it should. For example: no issues were found with the fridge/freezer when the temperature setting was adjusted correctly for the hot weather; the shower was fine; no condensation accumulated in the chalet if the shower-room door was closed as per the advisory notice on the door and - therefore - the de-humidistat extractor in the shower room didn't run-on but correctly stopped having cleared the condensation. Etc. We were already aware of the lower (but still adequate) hot water pressure which had deteriorated throughout the later season and which was notified to all late-season guests, including Ms Dean, in our information email. Owing to full bookings It couldn't be rectified until the season was over and, in our view, didn't merit any intrusive intervention. This is a very well-equipped but fairly compact chalet. The bedroom doors open normally to around 90 degrees or a right-angle to the frame. The wardrobe has sliding doors. There shouldn't be an access issue for the majority of guests. However, we would always encourage potential guests with any mobility issues or groups of 4 adults to consider any potential issues and check the description and photos before booking. As one guest ruefully commented: 'The 4 of us couldn't cook together in the kitchen'. If in doubt, please ask. Property Owner

  • "This is a very well equipped chalet ."

The owners have thought of everything . The property was spotless. The beds comfortable. Certainly much more than we expected of a chalet. The owner sent us a quick text the morning after arrival to check all was well and an email before hand beforehand with comprehensive information. The site is clean and tidy and there is a well stocked Tesco Express within walking distance. The site is just off the main coast road just a few miles from Cromer and ideal for exploring the Norfolk Coast and not too far from the broads. We would certainly recommend this property. Mundesley beach is about half a mile away and has a small selection of the usual seaside shops and amusements and a few places to eat but it is uphill on the way back which was too much for my elderly father but there is a car park at the sea front. This might be a consideration for those set on a beach holiday with young children or elderly relatives who might struggle with the walk , it certainly wouldn’t prevent us visiting again. Thanks for a great holiday.

  • "The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sink could run quicker as this was very slow."

The hot water for the taps in this property is gravity-fed from a mains-fed cistern which, in a single storey flat-roofed chalet, is not a great deal higher up than the sink levels. This dictates the available pressure and water flow. The hot flow to the taps has been professionally tested and is considered to be normal for the installation. The sinks fill quickly enough for most purposes. The cold-water mains pressure to the cold taps and cistern is excellent. The shower is separately heated and the flow power-assisted Property Owner

Close by is also a very popular nine-hole golf course on the hillside of the River Mun Valley, which enjoys beautiful panoramic views. The seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham are within easy reach and the wider area also boasts many easily accessible beaches, several RSPB sites, National Trust properties, woodland walks and preserved steam railways.
