  • "Lovely property with great sea views."

Nice hot pool. Good base for exploring. Have been coming to Corton every year for the last 8 years, and would love to return to this gem of a property. Shame there was no direct beach access from the site....it has been permanently blocked and the coded side gate doesn't work so the only way to get to the beach is out through the main car park, down the street and through another caravan site.

But we loved our stay and will go back soon. Many thanks, Sarah Mcneil

We met the owners Colin & Pete in the clubhouse on our way to the pool (very warm, the kids loved it) they were both lovely and really friendly, really made us feel welcome. We will definitely be booking number 56 again

Stunning. The accommodation was clean, very well equipped. Our party was 2 adults 3 teenage kids and a dog. Never felt cramped at all. It’s pretty much a self entertaining place, but that suited us. I admit as a previous comment the fencing on the decking could do with some attention. We had a fabulous time and already looking to rebook. Kid free this time.

  • "We found the holiday home in a lovely clean condition, the site was nice and quiet, the staff in the restaurant were friendly and the facilities were all excellent."

The only issue we had was with parking, the wording in the advert is misleading and implies that you can park next to the holiday home, this is not the case, although the car park is very close it needs to be made clear that parking isn't directly outside. For most this would not be an issue but as a single parent with a 3 months old and an autistic child this caused some difficulty on arrival and departure. The rest of the holiday was lovely, the pool is also worth a visit as it is easy to access and a great temperature.

It was perfect for my husband and i and our dog but any more than that would have been a struggle . The venue and position is amazing although parking some way from the property could be difficult for some. It was furnished and cleaned to high expectations . Would definately return in the future .

  • "I am sorry to report that the cleanliness was awful considering we are in covid 19 times."

Dried spillages on the chairs. The beds were not comfortable at all. The bed in the main room was like laying on a box. Banister around the decking was broken an bodged together not that great if you have 2 dogs. Swimming pool was open but everything else was closed. Due to covid. Area not that great if you visiting with dogs. Couldn't find many places that were dog friendly.

  • "Plenty of room for six of us, information about the on site facilities in the bungalow would have been useful ( for example that you needed to go into the hotel to get a pass in order to use the pool, and when it was open)."

The club house staff were very friendly, enjoyed the carvery, and impressed that they allowed us to take our dog into the bar restaurant while we were eating. The staff even gave him some dog biscuits. The chinese restaurant opposite was the best chinese meal we have ever had. The beach is dog friendly, and the 91 steps down to it keep you fit.

  • "The accommodation was very well maintained and comfortable but when we went to reception for information on where to eat and any entertainment we were told that the restaurant and everything else had been closed because of a takeover."

We feel that this should have been conveyed to us before the holiday .Consequently we had to travel to the only supermarket many miles down the road to get supplies of food and were unable to have any meals on site. This was not a holiday for me as I had to cook every day and also there was NO village shop as was stated . Being as we are disabled we found the distance with which we had to take our luggage to the cottage was quite a distance as there was no access for the car. This was not made clear before we booked. As such we came home 2 days early ...VERY disappointed !!

We apologise for there not being a working restaurant on site when you stayed but we have no say on the opening times or who runs the restaurant and bar so when they closed it for renovations and a change of management it was a surprise to us as well as we thought someone would be taking over straight away so as not to inconvenience our guests. There is a pub just across the road which sells food and even a Chinese Takeaway next door to that. Would you believe that a new Village shop opened shortly after your visit which is excellent for those bits and pieces you may need in an emergency. Too late for your visit I know but if you do want to visit again you’ll know it’s there, and as for the bungalow being a long way from the car park I must say that is not entirely true as Waterside Park has a very large parking area, some of which are only a few yards away through the gate next to the swimming pool. • "After an awful journey it was wonderful to arrive and find lovely bright clean and well equipped accommodation."

All the beds were made up with good quality linen and there were lots of lovely large white fluffy towels too. It was a bonus to find a television in two of the bedrooms as well as items in the kitchen such as foil, cling film, salt and pepper etc. Whilst we had rain and wind for most of our 7 day stay, the fact that we had lovely accommodation really made up for the awful weather.

30 and reopen at 11/12 not sure why. Overall was good but is still in need of improvement as to the swimming pool. I would also recommend an area for dogs to feel free to play as they always had to be on lead so not much of a holiday for them.
