Very well equipped and very clean. The cottage is excellently placed for visiting the coast line and inland. We enjoyed it very much and would certainly go again.

  • "The cottage was very comfortable and there was a bottle of wine, some biscuits and milk in the fridge when I arrived."

Unfortunately due to the rapidly escalating coronavirus situation and being in a vulnerable category, I terminated my stay after just 3 days and headed home. Had I been there for the full week I would have run out of wood for the wood-burning stove. I presume the owner would have replenished it. Certainly when i phoned him with a couple of queries he was very helpful.

.very cosy and warm and we and our dog felt instantly at home there.. Wine, biscuits and milk there for our arrival which was much appreciated....and the Christmas tree and decorations was a lovely thoughtful touch...it was close to the main road but the noise of the traffic was minimal and didn't disturb our holiday at all...the barn was very well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday

  • "Was a lovely warm cottage, arrived on a very wet and cold afternoon, to find a warm welcome."

Place was clean and comfortable. Photos don't do it justice. My only draw back is the photos don't show the beam you must climb over in the upstairs bedroom. The hallway gets very dark so children coming down stairs can be a little nervous. Could do with some instruction on where to empty the ash pan for the log burner. Will be booking again was well worth it.

  • "We had a wonderful time."

The cottage is fantastic, the owner called me a couple of days before we went and said we would be able to go into the cottage earlier than we were expecting and gave us the key details. We were able to arrive earlier as a consequence which we were really happy about and the owner was waiting for us when we got there to help us with anything. The cottage had everything needed and more, we absolutely loved it and therefore had a wonderful Christmas holiday. We will definitely be returning, can't wait.

  • "A warm and friendly welcome from the owner - and a few goodies put on site for us."

Owner very chatty and keen to help with any problems. Cottage was all that we required - homely, comfortable and plenty of space. Woodman's Barn is just off a fairly busy road, but traffic noise was not a problem to us. This was our first time with Sykes, so we were pleased with the overall experience.

Just a short drive away was Cromer, with lots of eateries, interesting shops, and a really beautiful church. Following the coast road to Sheringham and beyond opened up an exciting journey exploring all the small villages and their use of the large oval flint stones they use on their properties. Must mention that on the Friday before going home the boats had caught the Cromer crabs the area is famous for, and they were the best l had tasted. My wife and l will definitely becoming back.

Superb facilities that met, then exceeded our expectations! The cottage made for an excellent family holiday, the owners were more than happy to accommodate our one year old's needs by providing a stair gate, high chair and travel cot should we have needed them. The paddock across from the cottage provided an excellent space for fun and games. You never truly know what you will get when booking properties online, but if you are looking for a traditional yet modern, clean, roomy, cottage within easy reach of Cromer, this is it! Fabulous! Thank you!

It was a lovely base to go out from, Cromer is within walking distance, there is a good bus system available and it was a wonderful base to return to. The environment is so lovely that should bad weather or the desire for a lazy day occur you could happily stay there all day. It was warm as toast and comfortable with games and DVD's to keep you occupied. The owners are at hand should you need them and both are very sociable and welcoming. We were over the moon with the cottage, thank you so much.
