“The cottage was very cosy and welcoming, with extremely tasteful decor.”

It was well equipped with everything you could need for a holiday stay and the barn was extremely useful for storing our bicycles. The village was attractive and the property, although right on the road, was not affected by traffic noise as it was not a very busy route. It was well equipped with everything you could need for a holiday stay and the barn was extremely useful for storing our bicycles. The village was attractive and the property, although right on the road, was not affected by traffic noise as it was not a very busy route. Parking was on the street, but we always got a space apart from one day when we returned at the time parents were collecting children at the small school opposite. However, a space became free as soon as the school traffic dispersed. There is so much to see and do in the area whether you are a walker, love the sea and rivers, or are interested in museums, castles and stately homes. Everything is within easy reach. The only downside for us was the Friday changeover day as the traffic is always more difficult on that day. A Saturday changeover would have been preferable. However, all in all a great stay in a lovely property.

The property

Full of character and centrally located in the village of Foulsham, you will love this detached cottage from the minute you step through the door.

Truewell is a traditionally-styled cottage, perfect for a family of four seeking an escape to Norfolk.

Both bedrooms are a good size, made up of two bright and airy doubles and one even with its own warming electric fire for the winter months, as well as both benefiting from en-suite shower rooms so you can prepare for your day ahead in no time.

Downstairs offers a snug sitting room with a woodburning stove at the front of the property, ideal for relaxing with a movie after a day out exploring.

The cottage kitchen offers a dining area alongside a plethora of useful appliances and utensils for your self-catered trip, with patio doors that open out to a lovely little courtyard which is closed off, a real suntrap and perfect for enjoying a morning coffee.

Ideally located for exploring Norfolk, you will be spoilt for things to do nearby; take a drive to the popular North Norfolk Coast, explore inland villages, visit the historical and vibrant city of Norwich, wander round local National Trust properties or just enjoy discovering Dereham, a pretty town on your doorstep with plenty of cafés and shops to explore.

There really is plenty to do here, making Truewell an excellent cottage for couples and friends wishing to explore the area by car, bike or on foot at any time of the year.
