  • "Very comfortable cottage in rural Norfolk."

Fenced small garden all round the boundary which is good for dogs. Helpful owner (Christine) who has a number of very friendly dogs, mostly retrievers. We enjoyed the comings and goings in relation to the horses and found the staff to be very friendly. We really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. Good parking.

  • "A really delightful Cottage amongst a small race horse yard."

It was great to watch the horses and mingle with the friendly family who gave us good advice for shady walks in the intense heat! One of our two dogs was a retired assistance dog. However maybe people need to be aware that there are four large dogs who could be a little intimidating if you are not used to dogs. We had dogs so maybe they would react differently with a family without. Very friendly and love to rush up and say hello.

  • "The owner greeted us with a warm welcome giving us Prosecco, chocolates & milk."

It was fascinating to stay in a historic granary which had been modernised to a high standard. The cottage was comfortable, warm and very well equipped with a wood burner which was excellent. The enclosed garden at the edge of the paddock is ideal if bringing a dog and there are many walks nearby. It was delightful to see the race horses enjoying their exercise in the fields & the owner's dogs. Parking is good too next to the granary. The nearby village is attractive and has several shops and a pub where we had a meal. The location is good for visiting other parts of the county.

  • "I cannot speak highly enough of The Granary and its lovely owner."

The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival with some kind welcome gifts. The kitchen facilities and equipment were probably the best I've encountered after many years of self-catering. It is superb accommodation for a friendly dog: a wrap-around enclosed garden and the company of the owner's dogs who always want to say hello. The village of Hingham has a charming pub with a good menu. Spent a wonderful week here and would recommend without reservation.

Parking directly outside the building. Highly recommended and I would not hesitate to book this property again. Clean and well maintained property with a large kitchen, adequate sitting room and two bedrooms. Lovely to see the horses in the fields with plenty of wildlife in the area. The shower was good and modern. Double bed I slept in was very comfortable. Hingham is a lovely small village with an excellent new Co Op shop to use and so convenient to reach different parts of Norfolk.
