  • "The property is lovely once it is found."

The directions to reach this property are absolutely hopeless and the whole thing needs re writing. There appears to be no written information about how equipment works, where eg recycle bins are, or what to do re sheets, towels and rubbish when you leave. Therefore, property faultless, but useful information really non existant. We loved it though, and will definitely book again.

  • "Lovely property in a very quiet rural setting."

Well equipped and clean, everything worked well. Nice pub and bakery in the village. About 30 minutes from the coast or Norwich.

  • "We really liked the lodge."

Clean and well laid out, it had everything we needed and more. You can tell the owners really know people..and what they forget to pack sometimes....The location is great for either a base for North Norfolk exploring or just relaxing in the grounds. Will definitely stay again.

The area is so peaceful and well kept. It was comfortable and well equipped. All major attractions are within an hours drive, but if you wanted to just chill out this is the ideal area. Would highly recommend.

  • "On the whole it was a lovely place, everything you needed there including hand sanitser on the wall by the door."

Complimentary coffee pods & tea, sugars sachets, and biscuits a lovely touch. Beds reasonably comfortable, although one single you could feel the bed springs. A VERY peaceful place out in the country, so quiet and relaxing. Nearest shop or pub almost 2 miles away, nearest takeaway around 6 miles away, although we found out you can get fish & chips to take away at the nearby pub afterwards (wish we had known as the chinese we had wasn't great) Sadly let down a touch by things not working, ie coffee machine (a shame as complimentary pods were left for us and we never got to be able to try them) The 4 slice toaster only one side worked. Outside the decking obviously wasn't clean or swept before we came, none of the hand rails looked as if they had been wiped for ages, covered in cobwebs and leaves, this made us a little nervous due to covid cleanliness. The shrubs we had to break off to get by on the decking, and lots of weeds grown all around, obviously no one had tended to the outside in a while. On the whole a nice break away, but things could be improved here a little, the outside area is just as important as inside for a relaxing time. Would I go again? Not sure, but we had a nice break away from the rat race! Highly recommend a visit to Blickling Estate National Trust, a lovely afternoon spent there, and it was fun to see the seals and have a walk on the beach at Sea Palling which wasn't a big busy over crowded place (there are toilets and a cafe and a pub and huge ice creams!!

  • "Stayed in this lodge for a week."

It was our first experience in a lodge as we usually stay in cottage or house. It was a late booking, hence the lodge. Pleasantly surprised at the good standard of comfort. Comfy sofas, comfy beds. Two shower rooms, (small but adequate). There were only two of us, privacy may be an issue for two separate couples. The lodge was well equipped with a high standard of cleanliness. The owner messaged us to make sure everything was ok - thoughtful. The location is very rural, very picturesque and extremely quiet and peaceful - lovely! Location is good for visiting surrounding areas. The Bell village pub was very good, with a varied menu.

We wanted a mini break with the dog where we could enjoy the fresh air..dog walks and just peace and we were able to do this. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean. Kitchen well stocked with everything you needed to cook with. Matching bed linen throughout and lovely fresh towels. Cosy evenings in with board games and cards... just perfect Hot water and heating never an issue... showers powerful and perfect temprture. If you want a break where long walks and peacefulness is top of your agenda I would recommend. We will be back..

  • "We arrived Tuesday 8th around 6 pm after unpacking my wife started to cook a meal but we could not get either oven or grill to ignite."

We tried to contact someone on site the office closed up and at Sykes to no avail. After contacting a gas fitter friend the next morning we managed to light the cooker via matches. My wife is disabled and I have a bad knee so getting down on the floor to do this was terrible. Please advise with your thoughts.

  • "The lodge is on a pleasant site , really quiet and peaceful, it has all you need for a short break, but it is let down by the cleaning team , the tv screen and wall mirror was smudged, the Hoover was half full of rubbish from the last cleaning and the one before!"

, with the new covid 19 rules you are required to strip the bed linen and with the used bath towels place them in a bin liner then you find the pillows and matress protector are stained! Yuk ! If we had known that we would have slept elsewhere, this is the first time we have ever written a review but for what you pay, you expect better hygiene

  • "Had a lovely relaxing week at 32 Lakeside."

Its in the Haveringland country park a peaceful and beautiful location. The lodge is lovely, equipped with everything you could possibly need. It has a very efficient central heating system also an electric fire so this lodge would be comfortable any time of year. We even managed a couple of hours sat on the balcony watching the local wildlife, Red Kites, Heron ducks etc, in the evening even heard the hooting of the owl. Lots of places to visit and explore, bought fresh crab from Cookies crab shop in Salthouse (was one of the best I have tasted). Visited the local pub Bell Inn Cawston, had a very warm welcome, and the home made food was excellent. There wasn't anything to dislike about our week at 32 Lakeside and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to our family and friends.
