“The holiday cottage is nice but in terms of a holiday considering the price it fails to meet the standards required.”

The kitchen equipment is very limited. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. In my opinion it just lacks that attention to detail that you would expect from the price bracket. No flowers, no welcome hamper etc.... There are a few broken items, like the bin lid etc... The other things that should be made clear is the early morning wake up calls (from the bin man and the local business thereabouts) however this didn't spoil our stay as of course staying in the village you expect this but ...

The kitchen equipment is very limited. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. In my opinion it just lacks that attention to detail that you would expect from the price bracket. No flowers, no welcome hamper etc.... There are a few broken items, like the bin lid etc... The other things that should be made clear is the early morning wake up calls (from the bin man and the local business thereabouts) however this didn't spoil our stay as of course staying in the village you expect this but others should e mindful if its peace at 6.30am that you are looking for. I understand fully why this cottage has mixed reviews, the charm is undeniable and the area lovely, as I said its just lacking a bit of thought, somehow its not treated like a professional business more like Johnny and Jane are crashing out at the weekend. I would also point out that there are too many rugs trying to cover a dirty carpet and these can be trip hazards for everyone, the less sprightly could trip and hurt themselves. Bathrooms are well equipped, bedrooms have no mattress covers and on some of the beds there were flannelette duvet covers and pillow cases in August? As the weather was beautiful we spent very little time at the cottage but I think in poor weather having to spend time here, not so good! You would find something far superior for the money.
