“Cottage was well equipped and good location but bathroom bind didn't work, toilet seat was broken, single beds and pillows were old and lumpy and hoover was disfunctional .”

Also back garden was a disgrace. Sykes cottages staff were great though and it was the owners fault.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you struggled with the blind and the toilet seat, they were both checked by the cleaner prior to your arrival and both were working fine. Had we or the owner been aware of the issues during your stay we could have addressed them to make your stay more enjoyable. Beds and soft furnishings are always subjective depending on individual taste, its disappointing that it didn't meet your taste as the beds in the property are relatively new and no previous guests have mentioned any similar comments. With reference to the hoover, it was left by a previous cleaner and will be removed, there are other cleaning materials in the property for guests to use during their stay should they wish. Over all we hope you enjoyed your time at Swan Cottage. - Sykes owner relations
