A wonderfully equipped & maintained cottage in an idyllic location - we were so impressed that we’ve already started to plan our next visit Mel & Chris are perfect hosts - what a wonderful set up

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful cottage set in wonderful gardens."

Our thanks to Mel and Chris, who could not have been more welcoming or friendlier. Mel, with her knowledge of the area, was able to give us excellent advice about places to visit. There are walks straight from the cottage door through Lynford Arboretum and Thetford Forest and we would thoroughly recommend a visit to Oxburgh Hall and Gooderstone Water Gardens. • "Wagtail is a superb holiday cottage set in a very peaceful location."

Mel met us on arrival and explained everything about the cottage and gave us good local tips on places to visit. We stayed for 7 nights and was blessed with really good sunny weather. We ate our evening meals every night on the patio just outside the cottage and it was just perfect. The cottage is situated right in the middle of the forest so there is no traffic noise just the birds singing. Thank you for a great holiday and would love to return in the future.

  • "The location was fabulous and very picturesque; the fact you could walk out of the gate and we're in Lynford Arboretum/ Thetford Forest made the holiday for us."

The cottage decor and facilities were modern, owners very welcoming and all very dog friendly. Very quiet area with a safe, enclosed, large walled garden, which was invaluable. Good communication from Sykes Cottages from time of booking to day of arrival.
