    Mrs Williams

“We stayed for two weeks, myself, hubby and our small dog, and Peregrine cottage was perfect for us.”

We were in the area to visit family and friends in Norfolk and Suffolk, but there is plenty to do and see if you are holidaying there too. The house is in a quiet cul de sac, with efficient heating (important for us as we stayed in November), and was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Happy to recommend this place.

The property

This lovely semi-detached cottage is tucked into the village of Kessingland, a quiet Suffolk coastal village, only a short distance from the beach, which also happens to be dog-friendly.

Adventure out on a romantic break for two or join the family for a memorable holiday in this home away from home, perfect all season round.

Wander past the almost woodland area into the cottage's hallway, which steers off to a comfy sitting room, centred by a pebbled electric flame effect fire, to bring warmth on those cooler evenings.

A dining table is situated to the other side, and the well-equipped kitchen is graced with a contrasting black/white overtone.

Upstairs, two bedrooms await, each presented with a wardrobe and chest of drawers, the relaxing double room benefits from a front-facing view over the village, whilst the children's bunk room brings the woodland landscape to light.

Somewhere of quality for all guests to settle down in the night time.

A bathroom completes the interior, housing a bath, with a shower above.

On a sunny day, why not spend some time in the enclosed garden with its artificial grass and decked area creating a wonderful place to unwind with a glass of something refreshing.

There are many excellent dog walks in the area and the Benacre nature reserve and beach is only 6 mins drive away.

Kessingland enjoys good beach fishing, and local amenities include pubs, restaurants, shops, a tea room, children's park and the award-winning attraction Africa Alive.

Nearby Lowestoft has two piers, an active harbour with a marina and berthing for larger ships, a golden sandy beach with attractions which include scuba diving, snorkelling, kite surfing and jet skiing, and a cinema and a theatre.

Yarmouth offers lots of family fun with traditional seaside entertainments.

A delightful place to unwind.
