  • "A really lovely property with great garden and a good place from which to explore north Norfolk."

  • "Had a fantastic week here, the house and gardens were beautiful."

There was ample room for us all (a family of 7 plus a large dog) and it had ground floor facilities which were accessible ( bedroom, shower, toilet). The house was well equipped with everything we needed especially the kitchen. The welcome pack was very much appreciated after our 6 hour journey! We were warmly introduced to the house and learned of its history and a bit about the area. As well as relaxing at the house we found it was a great location we visited Norwich, Yarmouth, Wroxham and other lovely places. A really great relaxing house.

Thank you very much Jade and family, you were so kind to leave the property in such a wonderful way, greatly appreciated and a pleasure to meet you all, thank you Jenny Property Owner

. The place itself was fabulous and the grounds and gardens and lakes are amazing.Would recommend as long as the hot water is running properly. The fresh eggs from Jenny’s chicks was a great touch and she even brought us some more when requested! Shame about the water! Would have been a much better score.

The property felt like home from home. Good size rooms and good quality furniture. Wonderful views of the lake and wildlife. We sat on the seats at the lake and watched the wildlife. Took walks round the lake etc. We fed the birds fat balls and seed in the hanging feeders. We are going to book and go back.

  • "What an amazing property!"

We are a family of 5, including a parent with limited mobility. We booked the property because we thought the downstairs bedroom and walk-in shower would be ideal, it did not disappoint. The bathroom was opposite to the King size bedroom on the ground floor. There is so much space to move around every room, the pictures do not do it justice. The grounds around the property are very well maintained and private. It was ideal for walking our dog, he walked around the lakes every morning before heading to the beach for the day, he loved it! The kitchen is very well-equipped and the utility room is an added bonus. The location is ideal too. We could get to the coast in under an hour. There are so many places to visit in the area and the house is so comfortable we could easily have stayed another week at least. We would love to return to this beautiful property.

Thank you so much Jacquie for your wonderful comments, it was a pleasure to meet you all and so pleased you had a lovely holiday. Jenny Property Owner

Fully equipped with everything you could possibly want. Comfortable and impeccably clean. The outside space was amazing with large ponds, great wildlife. We had visiting swans, herons and many other types of bird. There is also a great private garden to the rear of the house. The owner Jenny couldn’t have been more helpful. She provided a great welcome pack and met us at the property on arrival and on departure. Having stayed at many rental holiday properties this personal service was the best we have experienced. We visited the wonderful beaches, the Broads, National Trust properties, Sheringham, Wells, all in around 40 mins drive. We were blessed with wonderful weather all week! If you are looking for a relaxing break in Norfolk I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property. We will be back!

  • "Lyons Green was the best ever equipped cottage we have stayed in for many years & as such deserves a mention."

The extreme weather had reduced the water level in the lake and weed was a big problem. However, we did manage a couple of sessions and landed some 50+ carp... mainly commons to 8 or 9lbs and some nice mirrors to around 10lbs. Light tackle is not recommend as these fish fight hard an head straight for the weed. We would certainly recommend this holiday to any large family group and intend to return in the future.

).The house itself was perfect for our needs. Lots of space to get together as well as space to have some quiet time between the dining room, spacious lounge and sun room. Then there are the stunnomg grounds to wander around which are shared with the adjacent cottage. Find a seat by the lake and see all the beautiful wildlife, and you also have a rear private garden too. We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack and the owner, Jenny, who is absolutely lovely, checked in on us to ensure we were ok and had everything we nedded. Lyons Green is ideally situated to explore the beautiful north Norfolk coast as well as Norwich, Thetford Forest, the Broads, and the lovely town of Holt with its independent shops and lots of cafes etc. We have made some wonderful memories during our stay and the pictures really do not do the property justice. There were 4 adults and 3 children and Ben the dog. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for us to spread out. The surroundings are very rural and beautiful. The two ponds were lovely with lots of wildlife. The carp are huge. It is a great spot for exploring Norfolk and we managed to get to Cromer, Norwich, Melsop Farm, Sandringham, Swaffham and Kings Lynn. The weather was very kind to us and Jenny was on hand and very helpful. Lots of things in the house for the children to do. Everything about it was good. Just one point to mention is that it would have been nice if there was a complete board game to play! Just a small point on an otherwise enjoyable holiday. • "Beautiful house, in a lovely, peaceful setting."

Lots of wildlife to be seen. We saw deer, owls, swallows and a heron. Pond teeming with huge fish. We found it was a bit of a trek to everywhere but Norwich was nice, about 40 mins and the park and ride convenient. Lots to see, including the castle museum, cathedral and shops. Our son hired a canoe from the Pub and Paddle for an afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Spent a day on a hire boat on the broads, another 40mins drive, but worth it when we got there. Several nice pubs along the rivers, but found that mooring places are a bit limited. All in all a great holiday house.
