    Beautiful house, well equipped and within easy walking distance of shops and eating places. Welcoming gifts of wines and cake plus biscuits etc for our dog. Sea Palling only 4 miles away where you can alwats walk dogs on the beach and well placed for visits to Cromer and other attractions in the area. Sadly the only drawback was the loud clunks and bangs coming from the fibreglass roof in the main room where we had to stay with our Westie (it explained these in the guest handbook) ...

Sadly the only drawback was the loud clunks and bangs coming from the fibreglass roof in the main room where we had to stay with our Westie (it explained these in the guest handbook) particularly in the evening and at night when the temperature changed. These were very disconcerting to us and made our dog very anxious so unfortunately we shall not be staying there again. I certainly think any one with a dog or of a nervous disposition should be prewarned about this before booking.

The property

This beautifully presented cottage is situated in the village of Stalham, offering a pleasant and comfortable stay all year round.

Perfect for a family or a group of friends.

Walk in through the entrance hall and over to the open plan sitting room that has been divided into two halves, one being home to a wood burner and the other an electric fire.

You will look forward to returning home and cosying up next to the open fires.

Leading off from this, a ground floor shower room is complete to a high standard, with lovely features so that you can get ready in style ahead of your day.

The kitchen with dining area is a lovely room, nearly 30’ long, with country cream units, housing built-in appliances and a breakfast bar for those early morning cups of tea, as well as a dining area ideal for enjoying a home-cooked evening meal.

Here you can rest on the comfortable sofa and admire the garden through the patio doors, whilst socialising with your loved ones.

Take the stairs and you will arrive at two double bedrooms promising a peaceful night's sleep, along with a twin bedroom suitable for the children.

A family bathroom compliments the layout well.

The garden is fully enclosed, therefore pet friendly and boasts an outside seating area for alfresco dining, as well as a summerhouse for embracing some quiet time.

There are several beaches between 8 to 15 minutes away; Eccles, Sea Palling and Happisburgh, great for taking a stroll or walking your dog.

There is a small market which comes to the town on Tuesdays and a farmers’ market on every other Saturday, as well as regular shopping in the town hall.

Just a few miles inland from fantastic beaches, this is a perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and coastline.

The market town of Stalham, with its well-stocked high street with a good range of shops and eateries, is a typical North Norfolk town. There is a small market which comes to the town on Tuesdays and a farmers’ market on every other Saturday, as well as regular sales in the town hall. Stalham is one of the major starting points of Norfolk Broads boating holidays and a museum to give you an insight in to the Broadland environment is a must. Just a few miles inland from fantastic beaches, this is a perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and coastline.
