  • “The cottage was soo cosy and welcoming and decorated beautifully.”

The welcome pack was a lovely thought too, there was even some doggy treats for the pooch! We will definitely be booking again.

The property

Once you’ve travelled along the tracks of the main country roads, you will approach the quiet village roads of Martham where you can find your superb terraced holiday cottage.

Nestled in a restful residential area, Coorie Cottage is a delightful place ideal for a getaway with your partner and friends or for a small family to enjoy a beach and Broads holiday at any time of the year.

This 18th century property is full of character and proudly retains original features.

The main door leads into the sitting room, here you can find the perfect resting spot where you can unwind before unpacking your belongings upstairs, light the wood burning stove and recline into the plush seating area for a minute or two before exploring the rest of the dwelling.

Next to the sitting room you can find the dining room with ample seating to accommodate the whole party, providing you with the perfect spot to gather in the morning and enjoy some home-cooking and good company.

Attached to the dining room is a modest galley style kitchen fit with everything you could need to enjoy your self-catered stay including a washer-dryer and dishwasher.

The kitchen also boasts a stable door leading to the garden so you can let in the fresh Norfolk air while the little ones and the dog run around the enclosed back garden safely.

The ground floor is also home to a bathroom with lavish roll top bath, ideally positioned to enjoy a soak and glass of bubbly after a days’ exploring.

Once you’ve explored the ground floor head upstairs to discover where you’ll be sleeping.

Here you can find a double room boasting a large en-suite shower room and a king size bed where you can slip into the Egyptian cotton sheets and enjoy a perfect night’s sleep.

Across the landing is a twin room with a small double and a single bed also with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets.

When you’ve unpacked into the ample storage space, head out to discover the delightful village of Martham with its shops which include excellent local butchers, two pubs – one with restaurant, quaint thatched roof fish & chip shop and Chinese takeaway.

With a village green, duck pond and a park close by the beautiful ancient church it, offers an ideal place to spend your holiday with all the amenities you could need to keep everyone entertained.

A lovely 15 minute walk past the church and open fields takes you to Martham Staithe on the River Thurne where you can hire a day boat or enjoy a days fishing.
