  • "From the moment we set foot inside the door we knew we’d enjoy our stay here."

It’s a great place for families to get together as all of the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable plus bathrooms on both floors. Sitting in the garden enjoying the peace with only the waves of the sea to hear is so relaxing. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The glass doors could do with some stickers on as my dog did keep walking into them though.

  • "We was very happy with the our stay."

The house was so lovely from the moment you walked in. The information book was very helpful. The owner was helpful regarding the temperature of the hot tub and got back to me quickly. We would 100% stay here again Thank you

  • "Absolutely loved this property."

The pictures do not do it justice - those views are amazing and the location with direct access to the dunes / beach cannot be beat (our dog agreed!) The steps are steep though and quite a workout! The location is perfect for the coast / broads break we were looking for. The property was very clean, warm and comfortable. The furnishings are top quality and there has been lots of attention to detail. Our only very minor feedback point are that there should be plastic wine glasses / flutes for the hot tub provided. We will be back!

  • "We have just got back from a wonderful week away at the drifters!"

We are a family of 8 and there was more than enough room. The biggest selling point is the location to the beach, which can be accessed down your own private set of steps. The beds were comfy, and the lounge was large enough for all! The hosts were easily contactable before the trip. The location was perfect, 2 miles up the beach at Horsey gap is a huge colony of seals, and we also found the Marriott’s way a short drive away (26mile dismantled railway converted into a cycle path). Couple of downsides; mainly relating to the downstairs bedrooms. The bunk room is next to the utility room, housing the boiler that is located on the opposite side of the thin wall where the bunks are. The time the central heating comes on can’t be altered, so was incredible noisy at 7am every day when it came on. Also the king size room downstairs has an attic space above, that has nesting birds in it. These birds were active throughout the night scratching around and waking us up. So I’d def recommend you bring ear plugs, if you are light sleepers

  • "We really enjoyed our holiday at Drifters."

The house was immaculately clean and welcoming. The location was outstanding, the sea views from the conservatory were breathtaking. The owner and his father were very friendly and helpful. We would love to return ( how about tomorrow?)

  • "We had a lovely holiday, the house is very nice and in a super location."

However one thing it is worth noting It is that access to the beach is difficult for those with limited mobility due to steep steps at the bottom of the garden.

  • "Absolute fantastic location (a dog lovers dream)."

Absolute top quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Tastefully decorated. Spacious, airy. Downsides not many more of a suggestion really, you could do with at least 1 King/Superking bed for those who are used to big beds and more of kitchen utensils. That’s it. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home to those who would respect and treat it as though it was their own. Superb. Would love to return in the future. Forgot to say the local pub and cafe very good.

  • "Very nice house in a lovely location with quality furnishings and a gorgeous view."

Clean, roomy, comfortable and everything working. The owner was very responsive when needed. Highly recommended. Just three minor comments for improvement : - Sykes should improve the directions for finding the house when you get in the vicinity. In the dark, it would have been almost impossible without help from the owner on the phone. - Whilst the crockery, cutlery and glassware are in excellent quantity and quality, there could be more kitchen equipment and accessories for those people who like to cook. - In the far right hand corner of the back garden, it is really easy for a dog to jump over into the neighbour's garden. Our dog did this several times to explore. I don't think anyone was there but if they had been eating in their garden there might have been a problem!! It just needs a small bit of fencing. Loved it for the view, the super beach, dunes and footpaths literally on the doorstep, not to mention the seals (in January).

  • "Beautiful property in a great location for beach and Country walks."

There were only 2 of us so plenty of space in the living room but if there were 8 there are not enough chairs to seat comfortably. May we suggest pans and cooking utensils need updating but apart from that this is worth booking

  • "We have just spent an amazing week at Drifters and enjoyed it so much we have already booked to go back!"

The accommodation is fantastic. We had a problem with the hot tub half way through our holiday but rang Tom and he arranged for someone to come out and fix it same day, so it did not impact on our stay at all and the communication from Tom was great. Thank you so much!

Go from the back garden straight over the sand dunes to the dog friendly beach. Dogs absolutely loved it! Such a peaceful location and the seals appeared every morning in the sea as if to say hello during our stay. Perfect for the recuperation break we needed after a very stressful devastating few months, we will be back thank you Drifters.

  • "The Drifters was an absolutely stunning property that totally exceeded our expectations."

We had a wonderful family holiday here in August making so many memories. The location is just perfect, the views from garden were amazing of the dunes and out to sea. You just walk from your own private gate onto the dunes and out along the beautiful very dog friendly beach in either direction. We swam with seals who as soon as you got in the water came to see you and we enjoyed body boarding great waves, kite flying and walks to the Dunes Cafe which was really nice. Just a handful of people about so relaxing and felt very safe. Kids loved the hot tub, and the large house playing hide and seek so much room, very clean and lovely decor. It had everything you need and was so comfortable, loved the conservatory spent many hours in here as a family playing games. We also visited Great Yarmouth by car which was not far at all and enjoyed the fun fair and usual old school seaside town, arcades etc. There are local shops such as co-op, fish and chips, Chinese takeaway and great pubs all close to hand which made it very easy of an evening lots of choice. The host contacted us and was very helpful with directions and hot tub information. I would very highly recommend this holiday let, you would not be disappointed.
