  • "I think the only thing that I would like to add is there isnt a small shop on Camp that you can get milk bread etc which is a shame as you have to drive to get any shopping you might need last minute."

The accomodation was very good and we was really pleased, it catered for all our needs and was very well equipped. The wifi was excellent the best we have had on holiday.

  • "Lovely cottage and close to the beach."

The walk is cliff top and scenic but a steep decline to beach so therefore a long walk UP to get to get back. The cottage was nice, well equipped but unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable and small for two adults! We had a lovely holiday and travelled around the Norfolk coast enjoying lots of different seaside places with our dog.

  • "We ended up leaving earlier due to the condition of the accom."

Slugs would invade overnight either through the gap in the door frame, architrave or the hole at the back of the toilet. Bed was super uncomfortable. There was a door around the back to a boiler which would not shut so just slammed loudly throughout the night. The site was a bit grim. We went to reception to request new towels, they never materialised. Mud and soil everywhere. Poorly lit and uneven surfaces everywhere.

Thank you for the feedback, all comments have been passed to site management. All gaps have been closed, the mattress has been replaced and the door behind the properly has been firmly shut & locked. We have also added a new wine cooler & sofa to continue to invest & improve the comfort within the property. The majority of work on the site has now been completed; we stayed there ourselves in April 2021 and had a lovely stay, the chalet is a cosy base to explore the Norfolk coast and Mundesley itself is a brilliant, picturesque village with a superb beach and facilities Property Owner

  • "We took food with us because of current conditions so we could cook ourselves, as unsure if we’d get booked in anywhere at short notice."

Cottage had lovely big fridge but no freezer compartment in it, so had to eat/cook some food earlier than we hoped.Sofa was a sofa bed and very uncomfortable, no arms to rest on as such and not very comfy to sit on. All the light fittings in the bedroom were covered in dust and seeing as 2 were directly above our heads in bed and 2 bedside lights I had to give them a good clean as unhappy sleeping under something that hadn’t been cleaned and someone else had been breathing on. Lack of cupboard space to put food stuff away in, most was kept on worktop. Plus clubhouse not open, looks like they might be working on it, which involved diggers and other heavy machinery going past our window a lot, moving the rubbish bin to lawn area near our cottage and churning up all the grass in front of us, plus the walkway to the car was boarded off and we had to walk the long way round to the car as we couldn’t park the car near Cottage, only on road outside park near reception. It would have been nice to have been informed of the changes to clubhouse as after first night of sitting on sofa , I was looking forward to sitting in one of the nice comfy chairs in the clubhouse, plus a pre warning of building work going on would have been nice . Thermostat could do with being set higher, place was constantly cold unless we kept pressing the plus button as instructed to but not nice to come home soaking wet to a cold home because the thermostat had gone off again. Lovely place, nicely decorated but it was the small things that let it down, another being no bin in the bathroom or bedroom fir sanitary products, face wipes, tissues etc

With general wear & tear pointed out by guests we have made the decision to invest further in the property and as of the 16th October 2020 the property is now benefitting from a new mattress, sofa & wine cooler. Property Owner

  • "My only gripe was the internet - totally useless."

It may be free but then it still has to work. Otherwise the accomodation was clean, tidy and just what we wanted for a week away from home. It may be a good idea when you are building new places to put a decent path in as pulling a heavy suitcase over gravel isn't easy, even for a fit person. However, overall a good week and one we may book again when this pandemic goes away.

  • "I found the sofa in the chalet to be really uncomfortable, where the actual seat part had really sunk in, and there was nothing to be done to make it comfortable, I have booked again for next year, and hope this can be rectified, it did put the dampers on my stay in there for the week."

Also the wine chiller was not working

  • "Amner 13 itself was lovely and everything like new- maybe rethink a couple of things such as putting the broom, bucket dustpan and brush elsewhere and not store in bedroom."

....maybe install a light above mirror in bathroom add a small shelf or iron would have helped too. Internet was advertised as fast???? We hardly got any internet at all so much so I am to be charged by provider as gone over allowance which has never happened before. our biggest disappointment was parking —advertised as off road - outside - to us meant outside of Amner 13 however it was on the road outside of the village which meant a long way to lug bags/cases etc ... We had to make several journeys to and from car. Would never have booked knowing this and won’t be booking again. Onsite would have benefitted from a shop selling bread/milk rather than a Beauty treatment nearest shop is well over a mile away along a unpathed twisty country road. Building works - obviously this wasn’t mentioned when booking - building new holiday homes on the village where apparently the car parks had been situated - the view from Amner13 toward the sea was impeded by grey boarding surrounding some new builds so looking out the window made it look like the sky was very grey everyday.

  • "This property was not up to the standard we have come to expect from Sykes."

The bathroom door would not close properly, it did not latch and no lock was fitted, there were cobwebs in the bathroom as well as a discarded cotton wool bud and a crane fly. There was no razor point and lighting has been badly positioned when trying to use the basin mirror The lounge carpet was embedded with dog hairs and grass seed. Overall there were several areas that were dusty. It was obvious insufficient time had been taken over cleaning the property. Site facilities were closed and had been for a long time (this info from a cleaner) and being prepared for demolition. Parking was inadequate. On the plus side the site as a whole was very quiet and peaceful despite being full (we were told) Martin Allen

We are pleased you had a peaceful & quiet stay despite the clear issues here, which we have since addressed. We have been in touch with the park who have completed a deep clean on the property and will ensure this failure doesn't occur again (customers who stayed in the following week gave the property a 5/5 in cleanliness, so we are hopeful this has been resolved). The fully-equipped games room and spa & fitness centre are within 100 yards of the chalet (we went there ourselves in July!); I think you must have been given the wrong information which may refer to the larger 1960s building at the top of the park which is set to be redeveloped to add more facilities to the park in the future months. Any feedback to improve customers stay is much appreciated so thank-you for bringing these issues to our attention Property Owner

The central heating boiler kept cutting out, and we had to keep going outside to reset the boiler several times day and night untill boiler was finally mended later in the week by a service engineer. This didn't make a relaxing Holliday .
