  • "The cottage is nice, comfortable and clean but a little bit of attention to details will be good."

The outside aerea is safe for dogs but it could do with some TLC. The cottage could benefit with few small improvements like a mirror in the toilet downstairs and few more hooks. In the main bathroom would it be good to have a small chest of drawers to put your toilettery in that get otherwise left on the window 's ledge. In the kitchen a bigger boiler pan will be good for cooking long pasta for a family and a jar for the water on the table. Also this is only my opinion but perhaps it will be better not to leave so many decor around especially on the 2 shelfes in the bathroom so people can actually use them. The location of the cottage is good to visit many place of interest but a bit inconvenient f you don't want to carry stuff for the beach from the house to the beach in Mundesley.

Thank you for your comments, I am very happy you enjoyed your stay at INGHAMS. There is a full set of pans of the usual sizes available. When I stocked the kitchen I included everything I could think of (including a cafetière that could also be used as a water jug). The garden is maintained by a local gardener, but I do not want him to disturb guests whilst they are on holiday, the cottage has been fully booked since the beginning of this summer, the garden will be attended to as soon as it is possible to do so. The cottage is a short stroll to the beach…0.6 miles as stated in the description. Property Owner

  • "What can we say… this was a lovely property and location."

Couldn’t fault it at all! The house has everything you need and includes helpful guides such as local vets and dog friendly places. There were items for the doggies as well as humans. It was nice going away and not having to worry about anything. Loved the doggy review book. Would have liked to left a photo but guilty of modern technology and not printing photos out. Maybe a email address we could send them to would be good. Any things we didn’t like were not fault of the property; they were personal preference. The location is beautiful with a 10 minute walk to the beach. Nothing is too far away. With further dog friendly places short drives away (happisburgh beach). Would highly recommend this place. Great value for money and owner of the house has thought of everything. Had some lovely personal touches making it relaxing and knowing where to find things

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday at INGHAMS. If you would like to send picture of your doggie(s) that would be fab. Drop me a line with the name and dates of you stay to : laizeedaize@gmail.com. Hope you visit again. Property Owner

  • "We were very happy with the deceptively spacious accommodation however I became worried about washing facilities as Grandparent was joining us on second day."

I had to remove whole shower head and leave overnight to descale it to achieve consistent flow of water to wash. Then it was manageable after following owners instructions from manual within the property but the water pressure was low and can not be changed I don't think. Our stay was short break so was not a problem for us. It would have been nice to have fridge / freezer on prior to arriving and my daughter kept commenting on the smell in the fridge. It would have also been nice to have heating pre-set to average temperature before our arrival as it was chilly in the house on arrival but controls were easy to use and once occupied it was very warm and cosy especially with electric wood burner effect fire in the lounge. We enjoyed watching a couple of DVDs whilst there in February half-term especially 'Ladies in Lavender' which is one of my Father-in-Law's favourite films. We would love to come back in warmer weather.

I am somewhat surprised that the shower head needed descaling as it was replaced in September. Another shower head will be purchased, and the cleaning company will swap the heads on a regular basis, hopefully this will stop the problem from happening again. The instructions on setting the shower are in the housekeeping section of the information pack and if these are put in place the pressure should be sufficient, however I will be looking into a new pump. A new boiler was fitted in January, it is very efficient and heats the whole house within thirty minutes. Prior to anyone coming into the property the heating is set at 20 degrees C for two hours in the morning and three in the evening, the rest of the time it is set so it goes no lower than 17 degrees. • "Accommodation suitable and dog friendly but would have liked a TV that can receive BBC & ITV and a higher standard of cleanliness- gave the impression of not being cleaned since last occupancy."

Liked thoughtfulness of providing little torches by each bed, presumably in case of power cuts. Thankfully not needed but it was a nice idea.

  • "A lovely property in a nice quiet close."

Very clean , all the bedding and towels appeared to be new. Had most everything we needed, except for live tv which my elderly mother was concerned about. Given the week we were there, she wanted to watch the coverage of the Queen’s death. At other times it wouldn’t have bothered us. On an accessibility point, if you have mobility issues like me the shower was a bit tight to get into being very close to the toilet. Downstairs toilet was a big bonus. Also the double bed is very low, I had to move into one of the singles so that I didn’t have to wake my husband in the night to help me up. Think he rather enjoyed the bed to himself! Overall would definitely stay again if in the area.
