New Buckenham is a large village in southern Norfolk. It is home to a good selection of local independent shops and two pubs serving food. Just outside the village is New Buckenham Common, one of the largest areas of common land in south Norfolk, owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and boasting over 150 species of flowering plants. New Buckenham is situated between the market towns of Attleborough and Diss. Attleborough dates back to the Domesday Book and nowadays is home to a wide selection of local amenities including shops, bars and restaurants. Diss is a popular rural market town in the south of Norfolk, where its buildings offer examples of gothic architecture, and an insight of the towns past life can be found within the local museum. The market place is the hub of the town, which is overlooked by its beautiful 13th century church. Just a short drive from New Buckenham is the cathedral city of Norwich where you can spend the day sightseeing or just indulging in some retail therapy. A superb location for a holiday, any time of the year.
