  • "The accommodation was well designed and well equipped to suite all our needs."

It was a good location for places we wanted to visit. The hosts provided good guides and recommendations for things to do and places to visit in the area. The hosts were very welcoming providing us with scones, jam & cream on arrival. We would highly recommend staying at this property.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at the annexe."

The owners , Jeff and Jane were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Fresh baked scones with jam and clotted cream were provided on our arrival and also a carton of milk in the fridge. We also had the use of a washing machine and dishwasher. All the kitchen crockery and utensils were of good quality and clean in fact the whole place was spotless and hand cleaning gel and anti bacterial wipes were also provided. We would have no hesitation in re booking this place should we wish to visit the area again and would recommend it to friends. A big thank you to Jeff and Jane for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

  • "Great place to stay, the owners Jane & Jeff were lovely and very helpful."

It was probably the hottest week this year and they supplied without asking an additional cooling fan which was much appreciated by us and our puppy. The property was very well equipped with everything needed for our stay, must also say that the property was spotless and in excellent condition. We only wish we had found it before now, we can strongly recommend this property. A very nice touch was the cream tea left out for us, it was delicious and a very welcome treat after a long drive. Thank you Jane & Jeff for everything, Kind regards Chris, John & Woody

  • "We have used Sykes cottages several times and been satisfied however The Annex went that one step further."

Jane and Jeff were perfect hosts! Arriving to homemade scones, jam and clotted cream, perfect after a long journey. The little touches added pleased us so much, they had thought of everything. the lounge was comfortable, kitchen, everything we needed. Bedroom, retro furniture which complimented the bedding etc. Bathroom with shower over bath was spacious and plenty of hot water, luxurious towels. We found the accommodation was immaculately clean and far beyond our expectations. In fact ticked every one of our boxes!! Thank you so much.

  • "We were woken early every morning including Sunday at 5."

30 am as the owners live above the property. We understood that this accommodation was attached to the property but it is underneath their own living quarters and would never had booked the property if known. From your photos we assumed the property was on a road not in the middle of a council estate. The owners made no attempt to even greet us when we arrived or at any point during our stay , it only takes less than 1 minute to say hello and did you have a pleasant journey. We found the floors which were not carpeted to be dirty and assumed that they had only been vacuumed. The furniture in the bedroom was so old that I remember similar in the 1940s. The wardrobe and chests of drawers were falling to pieces , the mattress was badly stained and fortunately we had taken our own. Photos available to corroborate our remarks. This or any of our feedback could not be blamed onto COVID 19 and feel very sorry for people who are coming behind us , we would also add we did not write anything derogatory in the visitors book but did leave a message for the owners .

We where sorry to hear that our cottage did not meet your expectations, if we had known at the time we would have tried to rectify then, we have taken your comments on board and we will make any changes which are in our control for the benefit of our future guests. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed a great week at the Annexe."

So convient for visiting all of Norfolk and into Suffolk if needed. Although in a built up area, we were not bothered by traffic or noise. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Patio area outside was delightful for relaxing with a book as I did on a couple of days. Bus service at end of road which takes you into Norwich. We would not hesitate to book again if returning to Norfolk at any point.
