  • "The cottage and its garden are lovely and nicely furnished and secure for dogs."

However, the shower has one small square non slip mat, this only covers half of the shower basin. In my opinion, for safety reasons the shower room needs two more non slip mats (one inside and one just outside of the shower). Central heating throughout the cottage except the living room, which has a wood burner. Excellent location for exploring Norwich.

  • "Fantastic cottage located just off the main road."

Comfy lounge and good sized kitchen dining area. Large bedroom with supper large bed. Good sized enclosed garden that your four legged buddy will love to explore. Neighbour was friendly and told if we wanted any information she would be happy to help. A couple of minor issues to be aware off, the bedroom ceiling is very low and we found it cold even with the radiator on full. Also new oven gloves are needed and a draining rack might be a good idea for washing up that doesn’t warrant using the dishwasher. And lastly some info required about recycling and general rubbish and where to put it. (Apologies if it’s there we just didn’t see it). I would most definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "Cottage is in very good order but a few small issues impinged on our experience."

I had to fix the rear gate to get in easily. No instructions to use heating system. Wood burner seal on the door is weak so it would allow fume issues. A few dishwasher tablets would have helped. The stairs are extremely steep and have small thresholds it may cause issues for anyone with mobility issues I have none and still slipped and fell from the middle section even though I had hold of the bannister. Overall the Cottage is very nice and with a few attention to details would be perfect.

Hi Rod, we are sorry to hear you had a few issues during your stay, we do wish you would have let us know at the time about these small issues so we could have offered a solution at the time so your stay was not affected in anyway. We always encourage guests to get in touch as mentioned on the fact sheet. The log burner is booked in for a service to avoid any future issues for guests. Many thanks Andrew & Vicki Property Owner

We travelled everyday to a different location for the day! Would recommend- Cromer, Bury-St-Edmunds, Wells on Sea and beautiful Norwich. Did go to Kings Lynn but probably not again. This is a lovely cottage and location for seeing this stunning part of our country.

  • "A great little cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway."

The equipment was good but there were some things we weren't given, J cloths sponges for washing up. The salt and pepper grinders weren't full. The cleanliness overall was good but when I went to clean the oven tray, I found that it hadn't been cleaned in a while from the looks of it. The bed was very soft and I found it hard to get comfortable to sleep plus the picture of the cow was very disconcerting that is had to remove it from the wall. Overall it was a pleasant stay .

We really can’t suggest any improvements apart from maybe indicating where outside the bins were on the information sheet. We were out a lot and it was a relatively short stay so didn’t fill the indoor bins but would’ve liked to have emptied them before leaving.

It has a spacious, well equipped kitchen dinner, a cosy lounge, up to date shower room and a large comfy bedroom. Outside is a lovely secure garden for the dog, lawned with two seating areas, fab for a G&T at sunset! The property was spotless and a home from home......our recently rehomed woofer Tilly loved it and settled straight away. We would definitely recommend and book again.......thank you to the owners Andrew & Vicki for a great stay. Gary & Terry

  • "This is a comfortable and very nicely decorated cottage in a useful location."

It is close to a busy road, but there was no road noise with the windows shut. The bed and chairs were very comfortable and the kitchen, although small, was easy to use. Minor things that could be improved - a dressing table and a chest of drawers would be great in the bedroom, and there is room for them; a small table in the sitting room to play games on; more crockery and cutlery (there are only 4 of each item, not enough in some situations) and a bottle opener would be very useful. It's a lovely area, you can walk from the cottage to Smockmill Common for a little walk, Tyrrel's Wood just south of Long Stratton is also a good place for a quick dog walk. It's also easy to drive to interesting places like Framlingham Castle, and the coast at Southwold.

Central location for all the areas we wanted to visit. The cottage itself was lovely, clean and well equipped. If I had to make any suggestions it would be the sitting room could do with a radiator so it would not be necessary to light the wood burner to make it comfortable. Also, a small table/cupboard/flat surface in the bedroom would have been useful. Would happily recommend to friends and to return ourselves.
