  • "We had a wonderful holiday at The Twickle."

We were a group with young children and dogs and we felt that everyone was very well accommodated - the wine and biscuit starter pack was a nice touch! It felt very spacious and was well equipped with crockery, glassware, cupboard space etc. plus everything we needed for the week including tea towels, dishwasher tablets, soap etc. A great location for day trips all around Norfolk. For those with children we'd thoroughly recommend Bewilderwood, Wroxham barns and Walcott beach. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • "On arrival there was a smell in the kitchen of rotten cheese on opening the fridge and taking out compartment at the bottom there was all rotten milk, had to clean fridge out and microwave before using them cooker hadn’t been cleaned, all cupboards to store food needed wiping out ,all bedroom cupboards had spiders and cobwebs in them so didn’t use them, beds upstairs uncomfortable , sofa uncomfortable could do with an update all round not the best place I’ve stayed and I come to Norfolk every year."

Great location for a family (included 2 children under 6, 2 grandparents and 4 adults). Close enough to everywhere that we didn't need to spend a long time driving to anywhere. Facilities were good, garden was enough, conservatory was lovely. Kitchen and living room/dining was spacious enough. A really lovely property

Many thanks for your lovely comments It pieases me that you all had a great time at the Twickle Look forward to your return when in Norfolk again Property Owner

Perhaps a Smart TV would be an improvement.

  • "The 3 seater sofa was so uncomfortable we had to use conservatory chairs which were slightly better."

As we were all in our sixties comfort in the evening is very important to us. The en-suite upstairs is lovely but be careful as on two levels the owner does provide a torch for night time visits, very thoughtful. The bed is really comfy. However the second bed upstairs you can feel the springs. Nice cottage for a family. There is the town centre 10 mins walk away with a Lidl and a lovely park for children and dogs. The cottage garden at the back is fully enclosed so ideal for dogs.

  • "This is a great house in a great location with all the things you need."

Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of space with dishwasher. For a 4 bed house the fridge/freezer is rather small. We managed to get Tesco delivery direct to the house on day of arrival but there is a Lidl close by, as well as a great little park for the kids. The rear garden of the house is nicely kept and has some lovely wild flowers including rosemary and lavender, with plenty of seating and a small BBQ. The bedrooms are a mix with a small double on the ground floor but 2 further spacious doubles on the first floor and a twin (with 1 very creaky single). North Walsham is great location for travelling to the beaches to other days out. We did Sea Palling, Great Yarmouth, ROAR and Pettits - all less than 30 mins drive away. Lovely place would recommend.

  • "A lovely house in a nice, safe neighbourhood."

Easy access to lots of beaches and, of course, Wroxham. The house is lovely with equipment well beyond most others. There really is everything you need and more. One snag was the timing of the hot water. We’ve stayed in many cottages and are used to central heating being timed but not hot water. There is a tank of hot water, on storage, for showers e.t.c after 10am but as late risers with 7 in the house this did catch us out one day. The house is Only 15 minutes to a host of fabulous beaches and to Wroxham, the main base for the Broads. We’d highly recommend to anyone with a need for space and comfort.
