"Marina’s cottage was a lovely place to stay."
Very comfortable and a good location with a quiet pub across the road, the beach a very short walk away and a shop down the road. The photos of the cottage don’t do it justice, both the kitchen and bathroom are beautifully done. Would recommend to anyone.
"Lovely property in great location"
"We had a lovely September break here with my husband’s family - even my mother in law (lovely, but with famously exacting standards) was extremely favourably impressed."
The owner was very helpful and responsive and provided two cots, two high chairs and a stair gate as we had two babies and a toddler with us, plus dog. The house and garden are very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, with some extras such as buckets and spades, and the bathroom is fab. The location is also great - about 30 seconds walk from the pub, and only a few minutes from the local shop and the beach. The sea was very warm, and we swam and saw a seal which was a bonus. A great place to stay.
"Fabulous stay at this gorgeous cottage."
Perfect for family catch up and the opportunity to enjoy the beach, which is 1 min away. The cottage is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is a dream. We enjoyed lazy chilled afternoons in the courtyard garden and our dog was so comfortable. We would highly recommend and will definitely return to this wonderful home. Thank you for answering my queries so promptly and the fresh flowers on our arrival. We can’t wait to come back.
"We had such a wonderful stay - every last detail was thought about and we were so comfortable throughout - would definitely come back."
It may be worth advising the guests that glass can't be put in the recycling bin, because we unwittingly did and it wasn't collected and we had to make a trip to the dump! Thanks for a great stay!
"Everything Wass fantastic."
"Wonderful holiday, fantastic cottage in a brilliant location."
We loved being so close to the beach. Cottage is beautifully decorated, with excellent facilities and very comfortable. Highly recommend.
"Beautiful home, thank you for allowing us to stay."
"Beautiful property in an incredible location, so close to the beautiful beach!"
Excellent facilities, everything we could’ve needed was provided. The owner was very easy to contact and friendly but not overbearing at all (we did not see her during our stay but were in touch via text, which was perfect for us). The house is spacious, well decorated, and warm and cosy. Plenty of space for the 8 adults that stayed (although the twin room was a little smaller than we expected, it was still comfortable and worked for us!). Parking was easy and convenient, both on the drive and on the road. Would definitely return to Marina’s cottage!
"The property is both spacious and homely with some beautiful artwork and lovely touches."
The kitchen well equipped with a large dining table which comfortably seated us all for Christmas dinner. The wood burning stove made the large sitting room feel warm and cosy. Things like the TV and heating are all modern and easy to use. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms a good size with plenty of wardrobe space - there were no fights over who had the best rooms! The location is ideal - opposite a beautiful windswept (it was December) beach with sand dunes where you can watch the seals in the water. The owner was lovely and left welcome gifts and messages and responded to queries instantly. We had a wonderful stay and I hope to come back again.
"This house was great for our family of 6 + 1dog; there was a lot of space and it is well furnished to cater for all of our needs."
Location was ideal with close access to the beach and local pub / restaurant "The Jolly Sailor" was always welcoming and accommodated us for food and drinks.
"The location of the property was perfect for what we needed."

About the location
Lowestoft 1 mile; Beccles 8 miles; Southwold 10 miles.
Located on the Suffolk coast, Pakefield is a suburb of Lowestoft, however it was historically a village in its own right and is home to the parish church of All Saints and St Margarets. Nearby Lowestoft is a traditional seaside resort with a wide range of amenities including the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, whilst south of Pakefield is the coastal town of Southwold, famous for its pier, busy harbour and the colourful beach huts which line the seafront.
