  • "This was a beautiful house in a beautiful place."

We had 10 of us stay, there was plenty of fridge space, crockery etc. The hot tub was absolutely lush, overlooking the lake. We had an absolutely fantastic time and we all said we'd go back again!

  • "We were offered this property as an upgrade due to a repair needed at our original choice."

It was spectacular - plenty of bedrooms for 11 of us; huge living accommodation; well equipped kitchen; lovely hot-tub, especially in the evening; super sauna. Even accommodating neighbours who let us hide our cars in their drive so our surprise birthday guest was unaware of our presence! We had a super weekend - thank you!

  • "Waters Reach is in a beautiful tranquil location."

There is plenty of seating area for a large group and the hot tub is a bonus. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have plenty of storage space. Small touches would make Waters Reach a “home from home” such as hooks behind all bedroom doors for dressing gowns and a coat-stand / clothes hooks downstairs - perhaps under the stairs - where you could hang coats - there is nowhere to actually hang coats apart from 4 or 5 coat hooks upstairs. Overall, a lovely place to stay. Kitchen is well equipped with utensils and there is ample supply of crockery and glasses. Duvets are lovely but we did take our own pillows so cannot comment on those. Owner was very helpful.

Beautiful lodge with the most fabulous views ..The hot tub was a great extra. We had a lovely meal at The Ffolkes during our stay. Would highly recommend this lodge.

  • "The house at Pentney Lakes was so much nicer than the picture."

It was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a large party or large family. Right on the lake with lovely views and the hot tub was an added bonus. Out of the way, but Kings Lynn a 15 minute drive. We will definitely go back for a family/friends getaway.

  • "We loved our stay!"

There is a beautiful view, well stocked house, especially the kitchen, and nicely laid out communal entertainment areas. Loved the jacuzzi and feeding the local swan family. The host was really accommodating and we loved the small touches that make a huge difference to families with small children, like the blackout blinds and high chairs, for example. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again.

  • "My holiday group throughly enjoyed the house “water reach”."

The area is perfect and we loved the hot tub and access to the lake for water sports. Our children enjoyed riding their bikes as well as the open green/play area for football and a spot of frisby. We did have an issue with the cleanliness but contacted the holiday agent and this was rectified. I suggest you take your own pillows if you are like nye self as I didn’t find them very comfortable, but the linen was clean. Overall I would recommend this property for the perfect location and ease of contact when we had a problem.

  • "I believe everything was amazing myself, however feedback from the rest of the group was WiFi very poor even for streaming music."

Also getting hot water in the upstairs en-suite shower, they couldn’t figure out how to make the hot water come out, it would help if there was additional information on how to use.

  • "The setting for this holiday lodge was idyllic, with that came the inconvenience of not having a shop or supermarket close by so it was a 12 mile round trip if you ran out of milk."

Having said that the lodge itself was very spacious with plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery etc. We did have a power cut on our 2nd day and lost the use of the hot tub for a couple of days which of course was disappointing but the owners did all they could and got us up and running again. The one thing that I feel could be improved that would have made our stay more enjoyable would be the quality of the bedding, I know there are a lot of beds but when I’m paying close to £2,000 a week I expect decent pillow and quilt.

  • "First thing you should know is that we've booked again."

Lovely, bright, spacious lodge with everything you need for a nice self catering break. Beautiful scenery as the lodge backs onto the lake. Hot tub was indeed hot with powerful jets and fresh clean water for our stay. We found there wasn't enough fridge space for food for 12 with just 3 shelves as we do self cater rather than eat out but there was a freezer under that was adequate should you have frozen foods. The 4 rings, oven, microwave and toaster all worked well. As we used the lodge in winter, i should imagine that summer would be extremely difficult, finding enough fridge space to chill what was needed and another fridge or a larger single fridge and separate small freezer would make the kitchen facilities perfect, in my humble opinion. Plenty of room to seat everyone at the dining table with an extra table available too. The seating area was very spacious with four leather sofas and we never felt squashed or uncomfortable with A large coffee table in the middle which was great for playing board or card games. 3 doors along the back open into the lake area, with one of the downstairs bedrooms also having a door out to the back. Wifi was rather patchy so don't rely on being able to use it as we found we couldn't always view pictures on social media so streaming isn't possible but our mobile data worked well. I'm sure it's the availability of wifi Internet given the location, but the views and tranquility far outweighs the lack of internet access for me. Swans, geese and ducks werem seen on the lake and even came into the back garden area for a visit! They are obviously very used to humans. The sleeping space was roomy. The best shower is the one downstairs as it got lovely and hot. The underfloor heating downstairs was lovely but were not sure if we did or didn't do something as the towel radiators in the upstairs bathrooms didn't seem to get warm. I'm sure if the upstairs doors were left open then the heat would filter through as the landing was warm enough. They appear to be ready to accommodate families with a cot, travel cot, stair gate all seen at the property as well as a cupboard in the kitchen with a henry hoover, hairdryer, torch and a first aid kit. The location is perfect but the instructions to locate the property didn't help us to find it. The lodge is number 55 which is on a sign along with the name of the property but we struggled to see it when walking let alone driving (in the rain). It's set back down a track a little which is inbetween a plot for sale and another lodge and Waters Reach is to the left and another lodge (blue/grey) is to the right. There is enough space for 6 cars on the drive if you block each other in and you do have to reverse a little into next door to get the turning space to go forward back up the track but if you didn't have as many cars it would not be an issue. Having seen comments about needing to bring things, if you don't do self catering normally then you're probably not used to those things needing to be provided by yourself but the owner is very helpful regards this and there are plenty of shopping facilities just 6 miles away. Would highly recommend lodge.

Thank you for your feedback. We have taken your comments on board regarding the fridge space and have installed a further fridge to accommodate this. Look forward to you staying again. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "Just come back from a weekend away with the girls (11 of us) and we had a fantastic time."

The cabin was better than we thought from the pictures, the hot tub was already up and running so could just get in, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the was plenty of very comfy seating and the views were amazing especially with all the wildlife. The only let down was the WiFi connection which was hit and miss and a bit of a pain when trying to find a takeaway on line

  • "The lodge was absolutely beautiful and looked so much better in person than in the pictures!"

The view from the hot tub was amazing and the rooms stayed really warm considering how cold the weather is. Beds were so comfy! The only thing I would recommend is find the lodge when it’s light out, we were looking for it in the dark and it took us a while. Couldn’t fault the lodge at all, perfect weekend getaway!

  • "The lodge could have benefited from toilet rolls, handwash and salt/pepper which would have made our stay a little more comfortable other than we have had the best stay and the cleanness of the lodge was top standard."

    We will definitely be returning.
