  • "The property itself is a lovely house but I didn’t like finding out a few weeks before the holiday that cctv has been put in the property and although we where told they aren’t on my autistic children didn’t like it at all and spent their whole holiday unsettled because of it and I would have definitely not have booked somewhere where my children would have felt so uncomfortable and even we didn’t like it."

Because my children are autistic I am always having to cook meals for them and so therefore I use the kitchen a lot and I wasn’t too keen on finding that the knifes and forks had food all over them and that there was two old trays to use to put your food on, the sofa where really uncomfortable and I don’t understand why we had feather duvets in summer and so we spent every night being far to hot, it would be nice if you had some hooks in the bedroom with the ensuite so you can hang the towels, I also hoovered the house and I couldn’t believe how many cobwebs I came across, I think there is definitely attention to detail needed and why have a washing line in the garage and then have no hole in the garden to put it in, It’s a shame but I won’t be booking again.

I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay at Driftwood. In response to your comments; CCTV is at the property for the purpose of the keeping the property safe over the winter months when it can be empty for a while. The data is not accessible out of the property and records for up-to 14 days before overwriting itself. There are NO internal cameras at the property. The kitchen trays are clean and have been purchased as new within the year. I am surprised to hear there was food on knives and forks as the house is cleaned very well and most cutlery is put in the dishwasher. The duvets supplied are the same all year round due to the unreliability of the British weather. I would have suggested removing the duvet and using the cover as a plain white sheet if they were too warm for your personal comfort. There are towel radiators in all bathrooms and toilets and there are several hooks in the family bathroom for extra towels. The house is cleaned very well and I have to date, never received a complaint on the cleanliness of the property. Due to the time of year cobwebs can quickly reappear. This is not something we can control. I am sorry you were unable to locate the washing line hole. It is in the grass and we have used it ourselves this week. Our sofas are made by a reputable UK company and are very comfortable. I am sorry these did not meet your expectations. It’s certainly not something that has been mentioned over the years of renting our holiday home. A 50% rating on all aspects is very low for the quality that has been provided. Our house manager and cleaners are very good and personal and feel very disheartened by this review. I am sorry that your holiday was not as you may have expected. I would like to add to my response that if there are any issues or requests during your stay that you should always call our holiday home manager who would be happy to help as much as possible. On this occasion no calls were received. Thanks, Property Owner Property Owner

  • "We all thought Driftwood was a very comfortable & well equipped house inside."

The beds were comfy, the showers great pressure, the sofas were lovely to sit on. The kitchen was well equipped, we were easily able to cook meals. We all felt it would have been lovely to have had some sun loungers in the garden so you can lie out in the sunshine. Our friends who used the en-suite room told us the loo was smelly, although when we went in to check we couldn’t smell anything.

  • "This property was amazing."

High quality equipment and furniture. Could do with some extra cups and crockery and maybe some extra comfy chairs in garden otherwise very well equipped and lovely setting.

  • "Superb week at Driftwood with perfect weather."

With the weather being so good we spent a lot of time in the garden which was very dog friendly with great views across the fields. House is large and very well equipped. Loved the bi-fold doors in living room and kitchen. Ringstead is a lovely village with a convenience store and pub. Really close to all the main attractions in West & North Norfolk. Overall very happy with our stay!

  • "Fabulous week!"

A lovely home from home, large enough to accommodate 3 generations of our family, plus a labrador, without getting on top of one another. Brilliant views both front and back, good for those who like nature - we saw hares, red legged partridges, red kites, kestrels, pied wagtails, rabbits, goldfinch and more just from the house! There's games, DVDs, Netflix and 3 TVs meaning there's plenty to keep everyone happy; and 3 bathrooms means there's not a big queue in a morning, so you can get out and about and enjoy your day! This property is very much in the countryside, so you benefit from the nature, and dark skies, but Old Hunstanton (the beach) is only a 5-10 minute drive away, as is tesco and lidl; there is a small village shop 5-10 minute walk away which sells the important bits (fresh croissants!). We found we were ideally based to explore North Norfolk, though I think we needed an extra 2 weeks to fit everything in that we wanted to see/do! We find the property manager to be very helpful; we were staying to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary and the property manager very kindly put up banners and balloons before we arrived. There was also cake, wine, apple juice and milk left for us, which after a 5 hour drive was very gratefully received! We cannot recommend this property enough, and if we decide to head back to Norfolk, we will certainly be checking whether this place is available. Thank you.
